Yeah, great suspension for flying off a staircase ?

Lol. I saw that video from the bottom view, but did not realize it was an old town car. If you’re gonna go off some stairs, seems like a pretty good choice I guess.

Fair warning- it may also impact your tire wear.

I have been at 36 psi since new and the outer tread is significantly more worn than my middle tread on my tires.

This is around 6-7k miles on my tires:

For the OP, there are a bunch of threads on the topic, but the bottom line is there isn’t a ton you can do. Our suspension doesn’t have enough travel for a soft ride.
The Mag ride on the GTPE is better, but will never ride like a luxury car. It’s a a mustang after all.
Whoa, those are some slicks ;) . I've only been running my tires at the lower pressure for about a week now, but at 20K miles at the higher pressure, my factory tires still have > 8/32" tread depth. I guess I need to drive my car a bit more spirited.

For Mach-E premium, I can feel every small bump in the road and I feel my bicycle has better suspension than this. Is there anyway mach-e suspension can be improved? Sitting in back seat is even worse.
you could switch to 18" wheels and taller profile tires along with slightly lower tire pressure. It would soften the ride considerably. Maybe there is a MME Select nearby that you could trade wheels with.

My ICE mustang has an AMAZING ride….better damping and body control than some luxury cars. The Mustang Mach-e suspension is just awful. I don’t have any advice for fixing it but I do wish people would stop saying “Well, it’s a Mustang…the ride is supposed to be terrible”.

i wish Ford corporate would read these threads and get involved. All they seem to do is ask you for your VIN number so they can go after your dealer. We need this issue handled

I have noted that when my car rides rough it is more of a infrastructure problem (the road) than the car. On smooth roads there is nothing wrong with the suspension. I think the answer lies with contacting the municipal government and complaining about the road. You never see a vet flying down a bumpy road. That said I think I will be going with a wider tire when replacement is required as I find the stock ones a little thin. No issue here at all.

I can't figure out if you are trolling or you are serious. An infrastructure problem? I had a 2008 corvette C6 with magneride and the damping was absolutely magnificent. The Mustang Mach-e bounces all over the place like a car with blown shocks. Have you ever driven a car with blown shocks? The violent up down oscillations are characteristic of a damping problem. I see you have a canadian flag on your message. Maybe the roads in Canada are glass-smooth where you live and you don't notice that the suspension has serious issues. Ford needs to fix this

I had a premium AWD and completely agree with you. The roads are so bad in Saint Paul, MN they literally lowered the speed limit to 20mph city-wide, I felt I needed a mouth guard. Most of the harshness is from the fact that Ford wanted to make the MME as efficient as possible. So Ford engineers made the tires as skinny as possible and high tire pressure.

Tires usually absorb shocks from the road but with such high PSI and a heavy vehicle you feel everything.

My solution is +0 size tires. If your car has 19" wheels you can go to either a 235/55/19 105H XL @ 36psi or 245/50/19 105 XL @36PSI Because the +0 sizes have a 105 load rating vs. the factory 103 they support the same weight at a lower pressure so you won't get irregular tire wear.

For those that have a GT or GTPE you can do the same thing to go 255/45/20 105 XL @36psi and it will have the same effect. It will cost you a little efficiently in both cases (even less efficient if you choose a non-EV tire)

You could also go bigger but it would require aftermarket wheels.

If you are mechanically inclined you could also switch out the sway bar bushings with aftermarket as the factory ones bind.

I tried this too bought a set of 18" CR1 wheels and 225/60/18 104 XL still needs 39psi to support the weight of the MME. Openly because of the bigger side walls it did help a little. The last setup I had on the premium was 255/45/20 105xl @36psi, Steeda sway bars.

The 20" wheels at lower pressure are more comfortable than the 18" wheels.

I think they tuned the suspension intentionally to be more of a "sport mode" to align with the mustang badging, etc. If you wanted something with a cushy ride, then a different EV may have been a better choice.

Lowering tire air pressure will help a bit, but also sacrifice a little range in doing so.
this is the exact mentality why people leave certain brands and never look back. sport mode doesn't translate to horrible driving experience. mach-e drives like a pickup truck and not like a sport car. it is very bumpy and suspension used is not the right choice.

on 19" is it possible to go with 255 or even 265? will the tire have enough clearance to rotate freely or will it need some kind of padding? i will assume that I will need new set of wheels when i change size anyway but the pony package looks really nice in black and i don't think i can find a good replacement for a reasonable price.

Try Whisper mode. Maybe it's my imagination but it does seem to ride smoother than the Engage mode.

I didn't think there were any suspension changes with the different drive modes on the Premium model.

There aren't. Only on the GT with Magneride suspension is there a difference in suspension firmness between drive modes.
