Available late 2024. Front design looks similar to the upcoming Hyundai Ioniq 7. Gorgeous design, just wish it had more buttons in the interior.

Although this is clearly in a different class than the Mach-E, Ford better bring it for their 2nd gen Mach E. Competition is getting stiffer.

- 3 rows
- 8 cubic foot frunk + frunk seating
- 900V charging architecture
- 440 mile range
- 0 to 60 in 3.5 seconds
- price starting under $80k
- Audi Q7 length with interior space of an Escalade
- 6000 lb towing capacity

Frunk photos from cars.com. They added a cushion too for more comfortable seating.

Would consider this ev if range is with AWD and stays at $80k base may include tax credit.

It's extremely optimistic, perhaps naive to believe this vehicle will be
* Delivered to any customers in "late 2024"
OR
* Priced at ~$80,000

Gonna be more like 2026 when the loaded model is priced at $120k, if Lucid can even last that long. They must be running out of capital in this current interest rate environment.

I hope they succeed, but there are only so many buyers of 80K+ SUVs that will depreciate 50% in the first year. I just don't see a strong business case here.
How's the BMW iX doing? Not too well last I checked.

currently car-less, but hope to get a MME!

Out of Spec's take on the Gravity:

- air suspension optional
- base trim should qualify for tax credit
- NACS in 2025
- more interior space than an R1S
- the model in the video has 23-inch wheels

I'd love to see Ford bring back the Flex as a Gravity-esque tourer/minivan EV

The mini-van look really makes me look the other way. It is practical though and price seems decent although I'd still go for a Rivian if I had that much money to blow on a car.

This looks really, really compelling to me.

Starts at the same price as my GTPE, gets similar performance with ~50% extra range, 900v charging (remember that Edmunds article that was just posted?), 3rd row AND towing, and that pano roof...

Personally, it looks more SUV-ish than minivan-ish to me, and I'm really digging the exterior style.

I don't think I'll buy it new, as I'm still making payments on my GTPE, but once I can find one on the used market...

Price and features will be a big question mark.

For example the Lucid Air starts at $77k and can be optioned up to $249,000.

All those features they’re claiming for the Gravity aren’t likely to show up in the $80k base model.

It’s like comparing a loaded Chevy Tahoe to a base model Mercedes GLS.

My point is that even a base Mercedes GLS can be pretty compelling vs a loaded Chevy Tahoe, and the GLS lets you keep going up, if you can afford it.

(I'd say the same thing, btw, about someone considering a Mach-E Select versus, say, a loaded Chevy Bolt. The Select is honestly underrated).

Great points! I feel like Ford is falling behind because of their recent reduction in EV R&D expenditures, but I hope they bring their A game for the 2nd generation Mach E.

Think Lincoln will have a chance against Lucid?
Wait! Lucid is the same company which twice previously released vehicles only to stop due to software flaws. One vehicle just stopped on the road and would not budge, as I recall.
I'm not going to congratulate the company until it actually manufactures as many EVs as Ford - at least - and they all operate as expected.
As the lady said: Can't show you...because this is not production.

For sure it’s worth cross shopping if you have a specific budget.

But these comparisons happen commonly when you compare the loaded up version of one car to the stripped down version of another.

Once you start comparing them feature to feature though……. The prices aren’t really comparable.

Put the same options on a GLS as you have on the Tahoe and they’re not even close in price for example.

Yeah, I get that.

I'm just saying that for what you're getting (e.g. 3 rows, 440-mile range, neater pano roof), I think it'll be worth it for some people to keep going up, or even make a lateral move.

And in any case, if 3 rows and 440 miles of range are your thing, you don't have any other option than to look for something upper-scale.

i think musk and scaringe looked at this POS and breathed a sigh of relief. One less company to worry about.

I like the way it looks, but my biggest issue with Lucid is that the Air does not have blended braking. If the Gravity does not either, it will be an easy pass for me, I do not like one pedal driving. Also the price is nothing to scoff at.
