You ordered after 1.5 years worth of reservations went into the order banks. You basically ordered at the worst possible time. It's going to be a long time until you get a car. Sorry to break the bad news (that the dealer should have told you).

What if there's 15,000 vehicles in front of you and there's a global chip shortage? It also depends on your dealer, maybe they've ordered 2 years worth of allotment?

If you want the dealer to call you every two weeks and say "You're still so far down the list we have no idea when your car will get made" then call them up and tell them.
Never said they need to call every two weeks; an automated email would be fine. They should know how many vehicles, approx., that are in front being built or not.

I mean, it's basic order status that every large company does, supply chain problems or not.

Yup, I realize that which is why I said above I'm neither concerned nor worried.

I am just baffled that a company with such premium products at high prices would not be able to communicate *anything* or offer up any semi-approximate order status to those that ordered such products... regardless of issues they are facing.

Jesus, look at your post history. What do your complaints about Ford's ordering process have to do with the Oshkosh air show or the Mach-E's EPA rating? You understand that specific threads are about specific topics, right? And that going into every thread and whining about your order status is obnoxious, right?

Isn't this thread about mach-e-gts having been ordered and reaching kansas city?

Seems pretty relevant to me as I ordered a mach-e gtpe.

Not sure where you are getting 'whining' about *my* order status, I'm concerned that large company like Ford can't get an order status system working like other large companies can.

Don't you think this issue needs to be raised and fixed?

Trust me, from a customer support side of things putting the number of estimated cars in front of you is a straight up terrible idea. Like Frankie said, are they supposed to say there are 15k cars in front of yours? The amount of additional calls Ford would be taking from an email like that would be crazy, which is why they don't put out information like that.

Plus like some have been saying they're doing things in groups to speed things up. So if yours doesn't happen to be on this group of production and your number gets skipped for the next group, it's just not going to work putting in an estimated number of cars on front of you.

You also obviously can't put an ETA using a date because no one knows any kind of accurate ETA. Cars right now that were in production are unexpectedly on hold due to shortages when they're built and need like one part that isn't available.

I remember you from older posts complaining about all of this and honestly man, just cancel your order or get over it. There's no real communication that will make you happy because all they can do is send a generic email with a cat hanging from the tree that says "hang in there". That's about as good of an expectation on your build as you can get right now.

Hopefully to get this thread back on track, does anyone know how long it usually takes once a car is at the Argentine ramp to get put in another rail car and sent west?

About 2-3 weeks depending on the destination based on what i saw in recent reports and recent deliveries. Based on what i can tell, the ETA provided is pretty close to when my car will show up.

I'm happy to report that some Mach-Es are now on their way to dealerships in Indiana and Missouri (and maybe locations too - I'll look for more later). I don't want to steal anyone's thunder in case any of these are forum members', so for now at least, I am concealing VINs, freight #s, and trip #s.

Interestingly, each of these two shipments included F150s along with the one or two Mach-E GTs.

Ford's ETAs on two of these are 8/20 - 8/26, and the other is 8/24 - 8/30.

Who wants to wager on when the review embargo will lift? I'm hoping for Friday but am prepared to be disappointed.
