New information just came out from Ford as they are releasing the 2024 Mustang Mach-E order guides to dealers. This order guide covers the 2024 Mustang Mach-E Select and Premium trim levels.

Details regarding the GT and Rally trim levels will be released at a later date.

More information on the 2024 model year will be available on Ford.com in early 2024, or customers can visit their local Ford dealer.

Key 2024 Mustang Mach-E updates include the following:

  • New paint colors availability - Eruption Green and Glacier Gray Metallic. Space white metallic and carbonized gray are no longer available.
  • 19” wheels on Select now available in either Machined-Face Aluminum with High Gloss Black-Painted Pockets or High-Gloss Black Painted.
  • Optional Bronze wheel is available on Premium.
  • 19" Shadow Silver-Painted Aluminum wheels with High Gloss Black-Painted Aero Cover deleted.
  • California Route 1 trim level deleted (2024 Premium RWD ER offers more content and comparable pricing to the MY23 CR1)
  • Premium trim now available with optional steel roof
  • Beginning Jan 1, 2024, the Mustang Mach-E will not be eligible for the current $3,750 federal tax credit. If you take delivery of a Mustang Mach-E by December 31, remaining 2023 models are still eligible for the federal tax incentive.
  • For 23MY Mustang Mach-E, customers will get 1.9% financing for 60 months with an additional $3,000 Retail Bonus Cash on qualifying models (GT and Premium Extended Range)

Great info, thank you! Does this mean the '23 GT will get an additional $3k bonus cash on top of the existing $6250 in incentives?

Not known until time of purchase. Incentives change frequently.

Anyone know why the 2024’s won’t qualify for federal tax credits?

I‘m assuming it’s because of the increased percentage requirement of critical minerals in the battery having to come from the US or foreign trade partners. It goes up another 10% every year.

Sad that Ford hasn’t addressed that.

Remember the goals of the US tax credit have changed from a decade of use tax payer money to "get anyone to buy any EV" at any price, to a coming decade of building longterm economic, climate and national security of the USA. Thus it may be because the requirements for the battery assembly and components get more strict each year and the China clause kicks in pretty soon. I believe Tesla also expects to lose some of the tax credit. Interesting seems right now all the current new Highland Model 3s are entirely made in China.

I‘m sure it’s not that easy to just source new critical minerals from new places. They probably had multi-year contracts already in place before the IRA came into existence. It’s not just Ford that will be impacted.

Yeah, I get it, but still… EVs competition isn’t only other EVs - it’s all other cars most of which cost less. Certainly isn’t going to help adoption.

That's a big gut punch to not qualify for tax credits at all. Selling price will have to reflect that.

I was hoping to be able to order straight from the website again like I did for my First Edition. I really hate listening to incorrect information from salespeople regarding the Mach E.

Wish me luck!

Don’t forget to ask for a discount…….like the old days of car buying. They’re likely more willing to deal these days.

Doesn't seem like the 2024 MSRP reflects the lack of tax credits, unless Ford will be adding additional retail cash bonuses.

X-plan page is reflecting the $3k discount on 2023 GTs.
