I wouldn't put a lot of weight on Ford's delivery estimates.

My Timeline
Built: 6/18
Shipped: 6/21
Original Delivery Est.: 8/9
Voltz Delivery: 7/8
Delivery Est. Updated 7/9: 8/21

My dealer confirmed my car doesn't have a chip issue and is cleared to sell. Same dealer has had other MMEs get delay notifications only to have the car arrive BEFORE the original delivery estimate. I'm optimistically hoping mine shows up this month despite the "delay."

I ordered my Premium AWD Extended in February, I've been tracking it using the tracker since I got my VIN, it has a Production Date of 6/18/21 and up until yesterday it had an ETA End Date of 8/7/21.
But today that changed on the tracker to 10/31/21.
I'm totally ok with the fact this means it may be nearly 9 months between order and delivery, I'm just curious why the slip, still silicon chip shortages maybe?
Mine was ordered on 4/23.
Built 7/8
Estimated delivery 8/25
Fingers crossed

I ordered my MME Select AWD with Comfort/Tech in Iconic Silver in Surrey, BC Canada on April 28th. Two weeks ago the dealer info was estimate build date July 7th with Estimated Aug 29th delivery to dealer. The online Reservation site changed to "in Production" on the July 5th and the Window Sticker showed up online. I talked to the dealer yesterday to see if it was built on the 7th. The answer was the dates disappeared and replaced with "in Production" and no eta. The online reservation still says "In Production" and everything else is still N/A so don't know what to expect now?

Saw on the news two weeks ago that the chip manufacturing plant in Taiwan that suffered from a large fire is now back up to 100% pre fire production....so that excuse is no longer valid. I told my dealer to stop using that and showed him a printed copy of the story
I'm pretty sure that fire was in Japan, not Taiwan. And the global shortage will not solved by any one manufacturer or factory.

With my car, the same thing happened and it appears that it happens to many/most cars. For whatever reason, the dates go flakey at various points of the process. Sometimes they change to show dates years in the past. Then about the time is shipped they will add an additional 30 days on to the expected delivery date. But in the end the car gets delivered within a few days of the original delivery date.
Just shrug your shoulders at the goofiness of Ford's bizarre date predictions and get the garage ready.

I ordered my Mach E on March 1, 2021. I received my VIN about 6 weeks later and finally received my production date of 07/03/21 at the end of June with an estimated delivery date of August 17th which was perfect with my lease ending on my current car on August 8th. Then on Friday, July 9th I was checking on the status of my car and my delivery date was extended to October 31, 2021. This is extremely frustrating. Ford has all of my contact information as well as my $500 deposit and they just don't communicate to the customer. We can all assume it is due to the chip shortage but they have never communicated this in writing to anyone. For a product launch of this magnitude they should be in the customers face with updates. All they are worried about now is their next new cars the EV Ford F150, Maverick, and the Bronco. They are taking deposits on all of these vehicles. I was so excited when I saw and drove the MME but the whole lack of communication around my order has been a total disappointment. If I am luck I will have my car 8 months after I ordered my car. Ford should be disappointed.

Communications issues I agree with when they could've just sent an email to everyone with build orders that have dates up, although I'd hold off for a minute and see if it really is 10/31. Seems weird that everyone is getting the same date, even people who have it already shipped and built.

"Ford should be disappointed.". I don't really see why they should be disappointed. They can't make their own chips, every industry in the world across the board is hurting due to chips not being available. Unless your comment was they should be disappointed because of their lack of communication.

You appear to be close to correct. The Online Reservation Detail was just updated with my car being built Saturday July 10th and Estimated ETA Sept 13, 2021 which makes me happy enough.

So your car shows a date and checkmark under the "Built" status here:

https://shop.ford.com/vehicleordertracking

?

If so, that's fantastic to hear. As far as I know, you would be the first to report reaching that point among forum members who had 7/4 and 6/27 build weeks. And I'm not sure I've seen anyone from week 6/20 report being "Built" either.

Nope. I had a build week of 6/27 and it still doesn't show anything in the official order tracking either as to being built. The only way I knew of my late August delivery -- which has now been pushed to 10/31 -- was by using the tracker here on the website. Ford has sent no emails saying it's been built, there's no change in the status, and it's already seeing a delay being posted about a week after it was assigned a shipping date in the first place.

Totally bizarre.

I have a 6/19 production date, still not "built" and I also was pushed from 8/14 to 8/23 to 10/31. Everyone being 10/31 now regardless of production date is really indicative that Ford is just doing a "worst case scenario" thing for whatever reason. My dealer said she had dealership allocations come in last week due to more microchips, so she expects my car to get a new date again, or just show up much sooner.

My car was built 5/31.
Shipped 6/1
Arrived Kansas City 6/15.
Parked in my garage 6/28.

The original delivery window was 7/7 - 7/13.
That was followed by 7/24 - 7/30.

It's a Premium AWD ER.

The picture beside this post is my car in my driveway.
