New FordPass Smartwatch App

I am running the beta, I am not in EA (have been waitlisted on the '21 F-150, MME, and '23 F-150 forever), so haven't signed/agreed to anything. But I removed the screenshots as it seems to be causing you significant distress and that wasn't my intent. Was excited to see it is all as I think most know the existing AW app is meh at best.

I recommend you reach out to whoever sent you the beta invite and ask for a copy of what you agreed to since you don’t seem to know.

I have the Ford Pass app on my watch. A little disappointed in its functionality. I am able to unlock and start my MachE. But I would like to be able to check battery status.

My biggest complaint with the fordpass watch app is it requires your phone to use it. IE: it has to be near for the features to work. Is that still the case with the new version?

There are times I don't need my phone so I will lock it in the car. Would be cool if I could unlock or remotely start it from my watch.

That's for Apple software, like the Dev Betas you can sign up for to try iOS betas, AppleTV Betas, etc. It comes from this site:

Haha, no problem at all. I was poking around that site myself as I did the iOS 17 Public Beta, and we talked about it a lot on this site, especially the new Maps stuff. But I am still not clear after reading if they are just talking the Dev betas or if that includes the Public Beta. I have to imagine it's just the Dev betas because tons of websites openly discuss the Public Beta stuff, and by the name "Public" I can't see Apple being that harsh.

The TestFlight invite from Ford to join the beta doesn't have an NDA or confidentiality listed in it, but TestFlight terms say you agree to confidentiality:

"You agree to hold the Beta App in confidence and to treat it as confidential, e.g., not share it with others who do not have the Beta App installed. If you have a complaint about a Beta App, you should send it directly to the Application Provider."

Either way, you do you, no need for us to be the beta police, Ford can do it themselves if they want to crack down. If anything, they should be leaking it themselves since the current app is so atrocious.

It is doubtful that anything will ever get done about people leaking beta stuff about iOS releases. For iOS 17, they were making a push to where you had to have a Developer account to get dev beta and could no longer download profiles. But that didn't last long and they added a toggle that now anyone can join the dev beta, where at least with profiles you had a hoop to jump through.

The voice of reason. I love to see screenshots of betas or soon to be released software. As long as the user doesn't care, why should I?

The blog post reveal is tied to Ford Pass Pro (separate app). I would advise being careful about any beta NDAs here. There has been no public announcements with a new watch app and the FordPass app.

Well, I have not signed any NDA or enrolled in Ford Early Access so I can talk about the existence of the app. I am not mentioning or showing anything new in this forum. All the screenshots I posted are featured in the blog, so I think I should be fine.

It's already released info as the OP showed, I was just surprised to see the ICE vehicle data as that hasn't been present for a long time. I haven't posted anything of FP 5 itself.
