How far between 2.4.2 attempts? I had a failure just over a week ago and nothing since then
I tried 3 manual updates that failed then a timed update succeeded, all the same day.

Careful with the glass update… when they did mine, the glass removal machine malfunctioned cutting into the metal of the car. That added another week to the update.

Why is the entire inside of your car removed? Even if they removed the windshield improperly, cutting through some metal, that would not justify removing all the interior panels and carpeting.

Wiring affected? Either way, pretty cool to see the interior with all of the bits removed.

I know they have to remove the headliner for the glass roof if it’s needs to be replaced, maybe they saw an issue or maybe they don’t know what they are doing

That's way more than the headliner.

For me 2.4.2 took a few tries. 2.4.3 and 2.4.4 installed just fine (yesterday and today).
Unfortunately 2.4.3 failed and now is clear. I don't think it actually updated because I never got a success message.

Looks like another trip to the dealer.

I saw one at my dealership ready to go out to glass (after mine was already complete). I'm thinking many places are removing more then needed... Not sure why...

Be patient. Some of these take a few tries.

Received 2,4,5 on Friday, every update comes in fine but torn between waiting for the trickle of OTA’s or just biting the bullet to have the dealer install. I’m scheduled for Thursday this week, at the pace we are going I suspect the dealer route will be faster.

If you’re at 2.4.5 now you’re more than half way. The next one, 2.5.1, is the biggest. Once you’re past that mute rest should hopefully go smoothly.

I have couple comments for everyone.
Some of you took your Mach Es to accomplish the recalls on the windshield and moon roof. Was anything wrong with them or did it just for accomplishing the recalls. I took mine to dealer and couldn't find anything wrong. I have no issues either, such as wind noise or leaks or uneven installation from the factory. The dealer also informed me how intrusive the procedures will be. They informed me to let go because there was nothing wrong. Did anyone who did the recalls had issues?
Secondly, I've received three OTA updates lately, all of them successful but there is no mentioned about the Blue Cruise update.
Also I was under the impression that the BC installation will take place and it will take a one time activation fee of $600. Now the giving you the BC update for a year and then what? Ford needs to be explain what is going to happen with BC two years from now. Anyone knows any further details?

The photo with the headliner removed looks correct. In order to get the headliner down and out, all is the trim on the a, b, and c pillars must be removed. In order to get the trim off the b-pillars the scuff plates have to be removed. And in order to get the trim off the c-pillars, the rear seat backs have to be removed. Because of the way the trim pieces overlap you’ve got to remove a serious amount of the interior to get the headliner out without breaking it. And you don’t want them resealing them roof with the headliner still inside. That would not go well.
This was my car when it was in for the roof reseal:

A dealer is advising you not to have a safety recall done? You should report that to Ford and find a new dealer. You may not know you have an issue until the windshield comes off during an accident.
