I haven't been following all that closely to be honest but from what I've read it sounds like the OTA process is much more prone to issues compared to installing via FDRS. ????After hearing about all the problems people are having with dealers doing the install, I am even more firm in my decision to wait for the OTA. Sorry to all of those brave people trying this update through the dealer.
My car is at the dealership now and they will take a swing at it. If BlueCruise can't be installed via cable then I definitely don't want to let it try via OTA. I've already had one scary OTA experience which is one too many IMO....
Either I will get my car with working BlueCruise or not. Doesn't really matter that much to me (as long as ACC and LKA still functions as before...) I just hope I don't get those annoying "watch the road" messages that some people are reporting. That would be very disappointing to have that issue to contend with. I assume they are watching the road but the monitor system doesn't accurately recognize where they are looking ??
