Was your SW Update list clear before that?

So this is a key question, if our SW Update list is clear, Is there anything we can do to get the GWM update line to show in SW Update. Or, is it a matter of waiting for our VIN to be entered on some internal Ford server list somewhere?
That sounds promising.
I received a message saying they are unable to get it installed in my car. They want to keep it for a while longer but I can't make that work so I'll be picking it up this afternoon.

Doesn't look like BC is in the cards for me. Not really a big deal for me because I would naturally keep my hands on the wheel anyway. For me, BC is like PaaK......I wouldn't use it even if it worked. :)

Santan Ford seems to have figured this out. After my failed experience over the weekend, they were able to explain what failed and how they would fix it and test it next time. I will be taking my car back in next week.

If that's the case you should look out for a letter in the mail. It's likely you'll be one of the folks who will be receiving the the impending BlueCruise recall notice.

I heard about it from my salesman yesterday and it's apparently of sufficient length that they will be paying the tech a full 8 hours to get it done. I think somebody else mentioned it today on the forum as well.

Looking forward to reading that one!

Have any over the OTA updates worked for you. I was tempted also to go to the dealer but I use the vehicle all the time. OTA updates was my default.

Day 8: No BC or update from dealer.

Hey @Ford Motor Company . Can you check if my car is eligible for BC at all or any part missing? Its a Job1 premium.
Does your window sticker say something about "Ford Co-Pilot360™ Active 2.0 Prep Package" ?

If so you are eligible. I don't know of any Premiums that don't have it.

Mike

The dealer bulletin says they can claim actual time UP TO 8 hours depending on what operations they have to complete. It seems like dealers are claiming 8 hours even if they only spent 1 hour on the car for example.

Well, my dealer is way over 20 hours and not at success yet... We are in Day 9 so maybe a few cars like mine even things out?

So what happens when the dealer spends days and days on it? Like is likely to happen to mine? The dealer gets screwed out of the time over 8 hours?

Or they make it 8 hours to the bulletin and the rest to warranty I suppose…

I took my Mach-E into the dealer for the BC upgrade. At the end of the day the rep texts me with this:

" The update has been installed. We will not have time to go road test it and see if it is working, are good to pick up and do that ? "

I told him to keep it and run the test this morning. I didn't think it was done because BC didn't show up in my Ford account.

This morning at around 9:15 he texts me with:

" Update, so it did not take the software, it did not show up on your vehicle. This is the first one we have done, we followed all the steps so not sure why it won't take it. We have reached out to Ford technical hotline for some guidence (sic). Let you know as soon as I know what the next step will be. Sorry for the delay. "

Sigh.
Update: BlueCruise now shows up in my Ford account. But it says "coming soon." So, does soon mean like today?

OTA updates are still in “Beta” testing right now with the early access cars. Hopefully it will be released to everyone at some point soon.

Its not a new bulletin. What was posted on here just didn't include all the warranty claim info that dealers need to file the claim.

So what happens when the dealer spends days and days on it? Like is likely to happen to mine? The dealer gets screwed out of the time over 8 hours?

Or they make it 8 hours to the bulletin and the rest to warranty I suppose…

They can't charge for the whole time the car is in service. Just the time a tech is actually working on it. This is why some of the updates that take a few hours, they can only claim 0.5 hours of time because the tech isn't tied up that whole time.

If they have to do more than what is in the procedure, and work with the hotline, they likely have another claim code for that.

They are recalling BlueCruise? Is that like recalling an e-mail? Good thing it didn't install then. I am leaving to pickup my car in 30 min....
Looking forward to having it back. :)
