It kinda seems like there are quite a few things that are learned by the car. When something changes, the car has to be driven for a while before it learns everything all over again.

It sometimes seems that way. I'd really like to have a conversation with a BC engineer over a beer to better understand how BC works and to the extent if any it "learns"

I just wanted to say that the BC update for me at the dealership ran smoothly. They gave me a timestamp of a two day process. That's how long it took, so I was happy about it. I don't think anyone talks about good experiences enough they had at the dealer! I was updated everyday as well.

That would be interesting.
Around 12 years ago, we were visited by 2 engineers from Ford to run some heavy load tests on a couple of new trucks that just arrived. We got to talking about some of our existing 1999-2003 F-450 units and how they have to learn if a PTO is present before the High Idle Circuit will function. The engineers both said those trucks don't learn anything. Calibrations are hard coded. I said "Really.....watch this." Then I showed them how it works.

They both scratched their heads in disbelief. About 4 weeks later, there was a bulletin issued in the PC/ED manual that discusses the issue. Solution was to drive the truck for at least 1 mile at reasonable speeds so the truck can learn if that gear is present or not.

Sometimes even the engineers don't know everything about these vehicles. Too much to know for any one person I think.....

My dealer says they are having major issues updating F-150s to BlueCruise, multiple vehicles dying during the process. They updated my 2022 pre-delivery, but were told only to update certain modules, and that in a few weeks things will be more stable.

Maybe I am closer to BlueCruise now. The dealer update was not successful, was left with BlueCruise Not Available message and no lane centering. My online account stated BC coming soon, under connected services.

Today, while driving, it indicated a successful update to 2.8.2 and told me I now have BlueCruise. My sync version is still indicating 415, and BC is still not working, nor is lane centering. I went to my online account and the BlueCruise option under connected services has completely disappeared.

Not sure what to think, others seem to indicate sync version needs to be at 421, which mine is not. The last Power Up I got was 2.3.0, back in January, had 22P21 and 22G01 done by the dealer since then.

Yep my dealer called me monday and said dont come in thursday for my appointment to fix my adaptive cruise control and add Blue Cruise. They said Ford is have major issues with their FDRS system and updates causing errors and failed updates. I saw a ford tech respond to a post saying the same thing. I wouldnt go in to update anything for awhile till its fixed

FYI - new version of FDRS (32.5.3) appears to be available for download. The last version change helped some stuck cars across the finish line, hopefully this helps even more people succeed too

You have everything installed and the notification from Connected Services. You should have Blue Cruise. Any update from earlier?

Looks like you're all set with the big stuff.

What about the small details? You need to turn on cruise control AND lane centering via the steering wheel controls, and be on a relatively straightaway portion of I-10.

Is there a way you can safely take a photo of your instrument cluster while you're on I-10? It will be helpful to know the color of the lane keeping system icon (bottom row, between the odometer and the READY message).
