Yes. I get that. However, both the 2021 and 2022 GTs have the same range according to the info posted on Ford's website. The 2022 Premium, CR1 and Select have their range figures updated to account for the additional 3% usable but the GT range remains the same. If that info is to be believed, then the 2021 GTs shipped with 91 kWh usable. So that is why I find it confusing.

Perhaps there will be a range increase for the 2022 GTs and that will tidy up the loose end with the documentation?
It was already posted a while back that it will gain 7 miles. . Gt only has been out a few months and I'm sure they will get to official publication as they already put one out unofficially.

Okay. I missed that post. Apologies for being so clueless.

My car still says 1.7.1, so I guess no new update.

I did a few tests setting the battery to charge to 100% before driving it. It did not seem to help:

Precondition test

Initial stats:

External temperature 32F

Car in unheated garage

SoC 85%

Initial HVT 44.6F

Charging at 40A (juicebox)

HV current showing only 22A

HV coolant inlet temperature 41F

I left the car charging for 25 minutes and no changes to HVT and HV coolant inlet. I drove the car for 30 minutes and notice an increase of 1.6F in the coolant. The HVT did not change. Either I selected the wrong sensor in odb2 or charging the battery with 40A will not increase the temperature. I will test again by adding a preconditioning schedule.
After testing the departure schedule I can confirm that the battery coolant temperature increased from 30F to 37F in 25 minutes. That option seems to be the only option to heat up the battery before leaving home.

That is so weird. You would think for charging it would warm the battery as well. Oh well, good thought either way!

As you can see from my screen shot, I can’t tell what version I’m on. Is there somewhere else to look? Also, I’m pretty sure I had it set to Auto Update. Now I cannot get that switch to hold as Auto Update.

Yup, you’re in 1.7.1 Purgatory.

I have a similar issue. I can't tell what update(s) I have.
It stays in Automatic update but won't tell me anything.
What am I missing or doing wrong?
Thank you.

Have you tried pressing the little arrow in line with "Update Details"?

Yes. That’s the view with the arrow pressed, I.e., with that section of the window open.

I was able to confirm that setting a departure time is the only way to pre-condition the batteries. Simply doing a remote-start doesn't do this.

Pre-conditioning uses your AC house power to warm up the battery packs. As a result you'll get better battery usage, your regen-braking will work better ... and if you do need to head to a charger, it will accept a charge faster.

I have a work-from-home job so I don't really have a recurring departure time. This means if I need to head out on a trip, I need to set a departure time (as if it would be a recurring schedule) for the date/time I plan to leave. Then... as I'm leaving I have to edit the schedule again to delete the departure time.

Wish there was a way to set a one-time scheduled departure.
I'm in the same boat as you. That one-time setting from the FordPass app would be an awesome feature. That, or have a pre-condition button under the remote start...

The "....is up to date." note is about the stupidest thing on the dash. If it hasn't received the newest update, it couldn't possibly know it's not on-board.

I get that too and I know I don't have 2.1.0, I have to allow the update, and I haven't.
