Just got it too. Will take a drive later to see if anything is better. (I-66, I’m looking at you!)

My guess is if your BC was working well already then you might not notice any difference. If you have been experiencing issues then it might be improved now.

My drive home was another successful use of BCHF. There is a big bump where the highway surface changes and CC dropped completely but that is fairly normal. All I had to do was press the resume button and BCHF re engaged immediately. Prior to today, I would have to wait for a mile or so before it would allow me to reset CC.

So, still a nice improving overall. I hope others with the same symptoms as me get this update sooner than later because it makes BC so much nicer to use.

My blue cruise has never worked despite the dealer instlling the updates a few months ago. I just got this software update tonight, I will have to see if it fixes blue cruise for me.

Yeah no joke. I am stuck on 2.7.1 with no BC. Got the “we will try again soon” message for 2.8.1 way back in June.

I went in to have the car updated as it had not since May and winter is coming again. It went in with 2.7.1 and came out half way through 2.7.1 and 2.7.3 which has now reverted back to 2.7.1. They did update a bunch of modules. BC no longer works here at all. It did have the 10 seconds hands need to touch the wheel mode but now nothing as it no longer engages. Lets all get hyped how this makes it better. Went from 15 modules needing updating to 4 so there is that. The AI appears a "bit" smarter. Appears OTA is a PR thing and not actually a functioning service at this stage.

Weird… the widget shows I got it yesterday, but the hot mess that is FordPass doesn’t Show anything since the HVBJB update on July 11th.

Yes, both.
In the car there will be a check mark icon in the upper left and in the app a banner will appear with a green check mark.

Heck, I just want a map update that will display what roads are BlueCruise enabled. It's comically meager in my area so far as I can tell from the one image I've seen that was promoted by Ford many months ago.

Yeah they just recycled the release notes rather than writing new notes. Ford has a problem with seriously inaccurate release notes.

On the one hand, this is a major pet peeve of mine. But in Ford's defense - bad release notes are pretty much a software industry standard now

Ford got this one out fast, this is a GWM update that updates the BlueCruise map data. Maps were set to expire on Sept 10th so this is going out high-priority. Expiration date should be Dec 10th after the update (10-12-2022).

Thanks. I can confirm that after the 22-PU0727-VI-FXB successful update, the BlueCruise map data expiration date ("Hands-Free Driving Mode available through ______") changed. It was 10-09-2022 after 21G01 was completed on 16 June. It now shows 10-12-2022 in Settings/General/About SYNC.

Just got the OTA update about an hour ago too. I don't use BC so I don't anticipate noticing any difference since it only pertains to that function. Job 1 EA
