I took my car into the service center this morning to see if I could at least get the issue fixed where my passenger side doors were not auto-unlocking on approach. The service center said there were 8 software updates for my car and installed them all.

Initial impressions:
- at least one of these updates FIXED the door issue!
- I still have the problem with the alarm motion sensors: off setting refusing to stick.
- FordPass appears MUCH more responsive now! If I do a forced refresh (swipe down) in the app, the car’s current location and SOC update reliably!

I think I only received the first OTA update. These updates from the dealership may include whatever second OTA update is rolling out.

For what it is worth, here are my ECGdiagnostic screens:

looks like you got the dealer updates to fix the door issue (via SSM something). This was not in any OTA yet and it looks like your software is only up to OTA 1.

For what it’s worth, the head of the service dept also told me that he is still hearing there will be a Q2 OTA update that fixes problems with settings not sticking, although this may only pertain to seat settings and radio presets.

I imagine its all the same issue. All my settings load if I switch profiles, and then back to mine. There seems to just be an issue with profiles not loading properly at startup.

I don't understand why all these SSM's can't just be broadcast OTA. Running to the dealer at every little bug seems ridiculous. If the SSM works for one customer, it probably will help all, so why not?

Some probably can, but if you don't want to wait and you have an issue, three dealer can fix it for you.

I called my dealer in Salem NH and asked about the SSM to help with the phone as a key. Felt like they don t have a clue on how to deal with the MME. He asked to call me back later. That was 6 days ago, nothing so far.

I'm fairly certain that reprogramming modules on the MME is the same process as any other Ford. Either they are scared of the new BEV, or just lazy about taking care of customers.

I wouldn't rely on an ota to fix an issue you have. Cannot do much about crappy dealers but I would recommend making an appointment for service via FordPass so it gets tracked.

A call to the service manager might help too. Assuming that's not who you've been dealing with already.
