Did the railcar number change from the car that came from Mexico?

Sorry, I don't know the answer to that. My dealer simply gave me a location and expected delivery time. I didn't ask about the railcar number and he didn't provide a copy of the report

I had a mid sept ship date. Just got a call from the dealer, GTPE to be delivered to them today (PA). Palsapp only shows being delivered to KC on 9/23 and transferred to Norfolk Southern with no other updates. So I wouldn't put too much faith in that tracker beyond KC.

Oh I know it’s just a mid destination time stamp. The funny thing is that cars with a later ship date have already been tagged by Palsapp but not the few 9/21 cars. I’m thinking they just haven’t been pulled off the railcar yet but I can still shake my fist haha. Honestly, I wouldn’t care it’s just the November 1 limit for CA clean fuel incentive and the renewal of ford options.

Shipped 9/21, still no updates in Palsapp. Tomorrow will be 3 weeks since shipping.

From what others have posted, it is possible palsapp only shows an update when they actually have your car. If you don't check the site during the "hours" it is in their possession, you might miss it. This is just conjecture based on other posts, but could it be they have already moved your car? What does the VVR say?

I have also seen other posters say palsapp updates are not timely, so even if you are checking 10 times a day, your car could be on the next train already. Two weeks is pretty consistent to get to KC, so three seems very unusual. I would get the latest VVR.

My order was built on 7/20 and was shipped on 09/21. It seems some 9/21s are not seeing much progress? I was able to see an update last week that shows it was delivered to the Argentine Ramp on 10/3- I have not seen any updates since then, my car is headed to the Denver area. My delivery date still shows 10/21-10/27. Not sure how long it takes to get from KS to Denver? I wouldn't think it would take too long but who knows with these rail cars...I was hoping it would jump on a truck and just show up in Denver on 10/6 but no luck

You're the first that I can recall seeing with a 9/21 ship date and a Denver destination with updates. I guess you just got lucky. My delivery estimate is a week after yours, so hopefully I'll see some updates soon.

It's possible. My company gets bulk forest products shipped by rail and the UP lost one of our cars once for 6 months

The railcar info is different for the Mexico train from the post-KC train your car is on -- different railroad system generally domestically. My VVR showed a mexico railcar and then another railcar number once the car was transferred to the BNSF ramp (and it showed in Palsapp when it was taken there).

Not mine. My VVR shows a BNSF railcar from the plant in Mexico.

I was in the vicinity and dropped in at my dealer, who gave me a print out of my VVR. It looks like my car was in Kansas for 7 days, before it started moving out to west to NorCal. Anyways it passed through Winslow AZ this morning, and should hopefully make its way into SoCal tomorrow. Do I dare dream that it it will make its way to my dealer within the next 5-7 days.

I was in the vicinity and dropped in at my dealer, who gave me a print out of my VVR. It looks like my car was in Kansas for 7 days, before it started moving out to west to NorCal. Anyways it passed through Winslow AZ this morning, and should hopefully make its way into SoCal tomorrow. Do I dare dream that it it will make its way to my dealer within the next 5-7 days.

Thanks for that detail! With mine, they plopped it in Wellington, KS (on your list) for 5 days (instead of in the KC yard like they did yours). I'm a day behind you, currently passing through Texas on my third state of the day. It's interesting to see the pace of your train, it seems like they cover a fair amount of distance once they get going.

If you're curious, you can dial 800-235-2352, ask for "location" and then provide your railcar # starting with the BNSF and it gives you up to the minute status info of the last town your car passed on its way to Richmond, CA.

I think that only works if Union Pacific is the "Freight Company" since thats a UP Number.

Calling up 1800-235-2352 to track my car doesnt work. Looks like CX is not tracking my car. Keep us posted on your progress please, and I can use that to infer where my car is at.
