I love the state we are in right now:
We complain we aren't getting updates.
We complain we are getting to many updates.

Who remembers the time of no software updates, you spent 40k on a brick that never changed only to rust away if your in the salt belt and we all loved it? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

It would be on your window sticker, 23MY had 1.2, 23.5MY came with 1.3.

We complain cause ford set expectations too high relative to their ability to deliver. And we are seeing a lot of updates that have no immediate benefit to drivers, with no end in sight. Are there going to be ten updates? Who knows.

Lastly, we didn’t buy a MME as an alternative to an ICE brick. We bought it as an alternative to the best selling car on earth that gets updated regularly without fussing.

We as people set our expectations that high, Ford didn't do that. Simply stating a feature is soon to arrive in a world that expects new phones and the next best thing yearly is a bad idea on their part, past that, the rest is on ours imo.

How do you know each update has no benefit to you or any other mme driver? Seems like a very inappropriate assumption. These aren't an iPhone, or a windows computer. These are 5,000lbs of metal and batteries that have the ability kill people if someone does something wrong via an update. So for a non-software company to take their time, I am okay with it but they do need to understand today's audience and not tease so much.

Ford isn't a software company, just like Tesla isn't a car company, can't have the same expectations as its unrealistic as the tools each company has at their disposal is vastly different.

I guess all my point is with this statement and the last is, think fokes need to look at the larger picture more and not sweat the little stuff and a bunch of updates to me is a good thing, not a bad thing but that is my opinion, you don't have to agree with it.

I don’t agree with it. It’s not just me who’s expecting more, it’s most of the members on this site. Ford’s been pathetic in dealing with this situation. If you’re a ford apologist and are happy with them, good on you. Most are not and will take that into account when it’s time to replace the MME. No wonder inventory is piling up on dealer lots.

Edit: Correction one is at 4.2.3 and the other is at 4.2.1, still though. ugh

Oh, and it’s folks, not fokes. Your spell check update 16.5.2 has not installed yet. But you’re probably okay with it cause Apple is not a dictionary.

I do agree that people need to have their expectations reset here. Ford has used very vague words like soon for a reason. I think people need to take responsibility for their own expectations and not blame others for them. It's generally because people are expecting vehicles to be like Apple or Google devices (When updates happen to them.) and that's not the case with vehicles. It's a different type of system that isn't fully controlled by Ford.

There is no need to act like that... It weakens your argument....

I got 6.7.0!

No I didn't...my car is at the dealer waiting for a new HVBJB ?
Can you send me the release notes for this? And what modules were updated??

I’ll put it on the list as released on the “12th of never” and that it activates the traffic-bypassing hover functionality that they took away with the active park prep kit ?

2021 FE. Still on 6.1.0. I don’t even care about BC at this point… I just want 6.2.0 to turn off my motion sensors. Ford must internally be referring to this delay as “the Mirak inhibit.”

I completely disagree. This has been a clusterfuck since the beginning and there’s no indication it is getting any better. They are just getting ready to release the 4th model year and they still can’t figure out how to push OTA updates and provide notes that make sense. Ford communicated on this forum that 1.3 is coming this summer and sent multiple emails asking us to get ready.

If you and a few others are okay with this treatment, fine. The rest of us are not.
