Sure would be nice if Ford could stick this battery reading in Fordpass
It would be better if, when an OTA was pending, it would proactively charge the 12V battery to 80% (or whatever the target is supposed to be).

The UX around this is terrible. They indicate in the success criteria a value that users can't observe (w/o special hardware) and can't directly impact. It's very poor design.

My 6.6 just installed at 12V SOC 75%, perhaps a little higher if the reading is delayed on website.
Depends on the condition of your battery, 75-80% is the minimum I'm seeing. Go to 80% if you want to be safe.

I just received 6.7 last night. I don't remember seeing 6.6.

I looked online this morning and still see this...

Ford Mustang Mach-E Power Up 6.6.0 1702045047884

So does this mean I received 6.7 without getting 6.6?

The updates have been coming so fast, you may have missed 6.6. This is why we need an update log for our vehicles.

I've also had the failed 6.6 update several times, each time with the message that it has been interrupted. I just checked the LVB on the website and it first said 48% but then refreshed to 62%. I'm at 58% on my HVB. I don't drive much and so don't charge much (last charge was Monday to 90%). Should the LVB get as low as 48-62%? If I charge at home tonight to 95-100% (I have a ChargePoint at 48A) will the LVB get high enough to allow the update to go through?

I ended up doing a Factory Reset on the system and failed message is gone.

Sorry, do you mean I may have not noticed when my car received 6.6, or my car may have missed it?
I meant you might not have seen it. Both could have come in and by the time you looked, the second was being displayed.

Follow up to above: I drove a bunch running errands and got the LVB to 72%, then charged the HVB from 51 to 92% over almost 4 hrs. The LVB only went up to 82% but I decided to try manually starting the update before going to sleep and it worked. By this AM the LVB had dropped to 67%. Thanks for the advice in this thread and the sticky, very helpful! As pointed out, it’s odd that the website lets you see the SOC of the LVB but the app doesn’t.

I noticed that my recent PU updates are no longer shown in the Message Center. The latest message showing that I received an update is from 10/26/23. Apparently Ford is now deleting new update messages from Fordpass. Any particular reason for that?

After leaving the car on all night, I got the LVB up to 78% SoC and the update failed. I am now at 79% and the car is still on. Will try and get it up to the 82% if I can. The problem is that it takes so long to add 1%. Next stop is the dealer, but the thought of talking to these guys is so unappealing to me.

This is a terrible situation @Ford Motor Company. Please let your engineers know we are struggling mightily to get OTA updates with an undersized battery in the winter.

My approach has been simple and 100% successful during these updates:

1. Wait until Mach E shows an update downloaded and "Update Now" is an option
2. Go for a drive
3. Plug into your L2 to charge (make sure charging times are set so charging begins right away)
4. Tell the car to Update Now
5. Turn off headlights
6. Turn off car, lock, and leave.
