I got 6.13.0 a few days ago. Pleased to say it actually did something positive and has made the eye nanny somewhat less annoying in some situations. I can scratch my nose, take more than a 1 second sip from my water bottle, or check my mirrors and not have it almost instantaneously screaming at me to watch the road.

I still find my Mach E squawking at me when I take too long to sip my coffee. It's definitely improved in my Lightning since 6.13.0 though.

I was away for a couple of weeks and just before I left I got the set of 4 powertrain module updates in my FDRS available list. But obviously I couldn't do anything about them until I got back. This morning I took the car out to do some errands and while getting ready to park at my second stop I got the notice for 23-PU1024-MCP-FX and the notes saying it was going to tweak my 12V battery settings, etc. A good thing.

So I got home and because I didn't know exactly what that ...MCP-FX OTA had updated, and the fact that I knew I had some updates in my available list from before I left for vacation, I decided to hook up the laptop.

Well the only thing now in my list is the SOBDM...the other modules have cleared off the list. I tried running the remaining SOBDM update, just to see if it would clear and it doesn't. Just stays there. And then I remembered somebody else saying a while ago (before my vacation) that they had done these same updates with FDRS and the SOBDM didn't clear. So I guess I know now what ...MCP-FX updated.

I left my car on the charger for the 13 days I was away. It did not even attempt to do the OTA until this morning when I did that drive into town to do some errands. Hopefully the OTA that happened today (to address 12V charging settings) will help to ensure that cars that are sitting, and plugged in for extended periods of time, are able to download and process OTAs without somebody needing to intentionally fire the thing up and drive around a bit first.

6.8.0 won't install for me -- it continued to fail all week and now the install button is greyed out with a message akin to "We'll have some more great software updates for you soon!"

I'll let my dealership know later this week when I'm going in for HVJB recall.

As I still sit here on chg3 I came back from shopping the other day, opened the driver door and the car just kept dinging. The headlight turned it's self from Auto to on. They were not on when I walked up but when I opened the door they did turn on. After starting the car they were on and the light wasn't at auto on the light switch. I know I didn't bump it with my leg as I'm currently enjoying a bout of gout so getting in and out is a very careful move.

Known bug, which is why the current OTA procedure is to turn it to off and not leave it on auto.

Get it replaced:

so..... after scanning the recent threads for 6.x possibly causing major issues with L2 charging (apparently spending lots of energy pre-heating battery rather than charging ?! ) I am wondering if this issue has been:

a. acknowledged by @Ford Motor Company as a high priority issue ?
b. released a fix deliverable by OTA yet ?
c. Hopefully message 'all mach-e owners' via FordPass when a fix is available ?
d. developed a way to skip intermediate updates, and 'update all' to whatever the current stable version of all modules may be ?

... if not, I think I'll just continue to plug along on 4.3.4

Back to the original thread topic - YES, ever since 6.5 loaded on Dec 15th I have had problems and NO, Ford didn't acknowledge there was a problem. they told me to use a Ford charger and see if the problem goes away - well it didn't.
That said, I have the data that shows how bad this problem really is - 67% of the 7.1 kWh was wasted either cooling or heating the HVB. See the attached Excel File. One other side note - Is 157 deg F hot for the AC connector, and could that be the problem? (bad sensor?)

Forgot to also point out that the charge input kWh per charge was no more 2X than it should have been - based on hours X kWh.

During the 2 1/2 hrs I spent tracking this charging event (with the Ford Travel Charger), less than 20% of the time was spent just charging the battery. One could say that 88 minutes to heat / condition the battery was within reason, but it was 50 deg F, hardly cold enough to require that much heating.

I first noted the problem when my charge profile went from this

To this,

What the heck was going on, I reduced the charge from 4 kWh to 1.4 kWh and guess what? The battery SOC went from 70% down to 68% overnight!!!
I believe the dips in the charge profile are when it switched between cooling or heating.
I went outside to look at the car during the next charge; the grill vents were open and the AC Compressor was running. The next day, as soon as I plugged in the charger I heard liquid running through the battery, then the heater kicked on.

Here are a few scans that I used to construct the Excel file. This is when it was charging normally, although the inlet temp (upper left) is dropping, the HVB temp stays at 98.6 for until the AC compressor kicks on:
Ford Mustang Mach-E Power Up 6.x Poll 1703890481357

All of the input NRG was going into charging and the grill vents were closed.

Here is what it looks like when the inlet heater is drawing over 5.3 kWh (no wonder I lost SOC with only 1.4 kWh) notice the bottom right charge - this is how much is going into the HVB.
Ford Mustang Mach-E Power Up 6.x Poll 1703890649140
Ford Mustang Mach-E Power Up 6.x Poll 1703890995755

Here is the scan Pic for the AC Compressor Drawn ot as bad as the heater but it would suck up every amp (6) when I had the charger set at 1.4 kWh:
Ford Mustang Mach-E Power Up 6.x Poll 1703891094009

The big question is, what now. I have 6.6.0 but that didn't help. I have the letter for CS 23B50, but Ford said that update will not change with problem, it only addresses the charge cable getting stuck in the car. I asked if there was an OTA coming that would fix it (like 6.7.0), but they said my car was up to date!!! How can that be when some MME are already running 6.13?
So,
Do I send it to the shop, and ask them to do what?

Do I just crank up my charger to 48 kWh and hopefully cut down the charging time and wasted NRG? Then hope the next OTA comes soon and fixes the problem?

Do I drive 50 miles to the closest DCFC and give that a try (one of the benefits of living in South Louisiana)?

If you have an idea that worked for you, please let me know.
