Congrats. Did you drive it today or have a scheduled update set?
Yes I was driving. Just got home and told it to start the update. The car is in the garage updating and the hazard lights are flashing during the update.

Uh oh. I think the hazards only flash when the car enters self destruct mode. You must have gotten the Chevy Bolt update.

mine turn on every time I'm driving which I think is Ford's way of judging my driving. Maybe I need to turn Journeys off.

I was in the first batch of email's, never got this last one that went out today. Update went fine, definitely turns off 1-pedal! Had to run some errands after it updated and all seems good. The update took about 30 minutes and the car was inaccessible.

Just got 2.4.2 installed tonight. This was an odd one. I already had all the other updates, including 2.5.3. This one was skipped the first time around, I had assumed due to my car going in to a dealer for 21P22 updates in between 2.4.1 and 2.4.3.

Also, long list of quirks with this installation:

I happened to notice its availability first in FordPass. There wasn't a bell icon in SYNC. But when I checked the software update page in the vehicle, it allowed me to start it right away (after turning off and exiting the vehicle).

When the 125 second countdown timer reached 8 seconds remaining, the screen shut off. I stood there dumbfounded for awhile, and then press the door open button to wake it back up. (The phone and fob were inside the house.)

This worked. It awoke and after a brief delay, the countdown timer came back but it started again from 125 seconds and counted down in fast stuttered steps for about 8 seconds then it skipped the rest of that sequence and began the update.

I could hear a pump or fan or something running near the rear motor. Kinda weird to hear that with no other sounds.

At various points during the update, the car would sort of wake up with lights and such and then go back to its thing. Then when the progress was at the end, or nearly there, the car started honking.

I had to type in my door code to stop it. After I did that, the car settled down but then seemed to start its update over again, with the progress bar and pump noise and whatnot.

Then it finished successfully.

I went to see if anything else happened while I was gone and sure enough, SYNC was open with my profile even though the car was off and I hadn't opened any doors.

So I keyed in my door code again (PaaK didn't work ?), open and shut the door, and let it go back to sleep, screen off.

Same here; all updates through 2.5.3 except 2.4.2. Now I'm a little worried to let it install tomorrow.

How did your drive go?

I'm just getting up. Haven't driven yet. But when I checked on the car last night, it had started charging ahead of my preferred hours and was at 94% SOC and still charging -- I set it to stop at 85%.

So I unplugged it of course, but also started the vehicle to check for other anomalies.

Tire pressure isn't reported for the front left tire! ? Hopefully this one will come back on its own during my drive this morning.

Reverse brake assist was also reported as not available but that is expected right after the 2.4.2 update per the release notes.

These all sound like the quirks that happened after the CSP. I drove for a bit and the tire pressure readings came back. Had to reset my charge limit.

The 2.4.2 that just installed wasn't the same as the 2.4.2 as before. Yes, confusing, it should have been renamed 2.4.2.1 or something.

Try a few start button cycles, on/off, with a 10 second or so pause at each step.

All four tires reporting pressure this morning. ??

1PD was off... Turned it back on. ??

Steering felt looser as I drove out of my neighborhood, but after that I wasn't noticing anything else unusual. Maybe the braking is smoother when it comes to a full stop in 1PD? Too early for me to say for sure.

I got 2.4.2 the other day with the brake behavior update and noticed a nice difference in the smooth feeling to a complete stop in 1PD. It’s not a huge difference in that my wife said she noticed nothing but I would contend it now just works the way it should and you won’t notice the weird start-stop change in acceleration that was the original brake execution.
Anyway A+ to @Ford Motor Company For fixing this and making it better through OTA.
