Also mine has a mustang on the back of keyfob. Indistinguishable from the OEM fob. I think there are a few with the Ford oval on back.

Five minutes? Crazy that one dealer would take 4 hours lol
Well maybe more than 5 minutes. I got there at 7:37am and I was out at 7:50am. Honestly It took longer at the cashier window. But this dealer has sold over 15 Mach-E, big number in my area and even though they are 20 miles away I go there rather than the one that is 1/2 mile away. I also have my F-150 Lightning reserved with them.

They don't usually let you go that quickly when they are charging that much. ? ??

Looking around and knowing what others got programed including myself, there is not a special MME FOB, but I am going to leave it at that.

Works for 57 vehicles

Type:SMART KEY PROXIMITY REMOTEColor:Black
Other Part Number:P/N: 164-R8159Manufacturer Part Number:FCC ID: M3N-A2C931423

Strangely Fullerton said they would not program mine because it wasn’t purchased by official Ford parts. I may have to call back and just lie lol

Yeah I’ve heard this from some others who handed their dealers the bag from car remotes and got turned away. I just gave them the FOB alone which also had the FORD OEM sticker on the back and they programmed it without any questions.

Man...So I received my second key fob with FCC ID: M3N-A2C93142300 , and it looks good except there is a ford log0 on the back and not a Pony.

Called all my local locksmith companies and they won't touch it because they say too much liability and it is not their supplied key. Called the local dealerships and got quotes from $140 to $200 and was told there are no guarantees it will work and if it doesn't I still have to pay the fee.

This is just pissing me off! What a headache for a brand new car.

Was hoping to pay $35-$75 most people have had to pay for the programming.

Will finally be getting my second gob programmed next week. Have had it since Feb, but never really cared too much to program. Taking the Mach-E in for the PaaK update and figured I'd go ahead and do the FOB. Flat $65 at my dealership and will just use some FordPass reward points to pay for it.

I'm in SoCal and had three locksmiths attempt to program, all unsuccessful. I then called the four closest dealers and got quotes of $130, $145, $190 and $190. This was apparently their hourly service labor rate, one hour minimum.

I took it to the $130 dealer and they programmed it without issue, and took $10 off because the physical key didn't have to be cut.

I got some pushback when I called the dealers about it not having been purchased from Ford. I told them I got it online and it was an OEM key (mine was the identical key with the pony on the back). They didn't have a leg to stand on because nobody had them in stock and I said online was the only way I could get one.

BTW, I did not receive FordPass points because I brought in the fob and hadn't purchased it from Ford.

Having my 2nd key fob programmed as we speak... Funny stor
You have to take it to the dealer or a locksmith, unfortunately.
LOL! I'm at the dealer now... 3 hours in... They don't know how to program the second one. @Ford Motor Company Want to give dealers clear instructions on how to program second key fobs? I'm paying by the hour for the service tech to watch YouTube videos trying to figure this out.

I was told by the dealer who is charging $59.50 to bring both keys because when they reprogram, all keys must be present to be linked to the car. Seems they erase all keys then add them back all at once.

Pretty confident the instructions are in their service information. I'd also bet that programming an MME key is no different from any other 2021 Ford. Unfortunately you have drawn a sub-par tech. :(

He spent a half hour trying to figure out where to insert the (uncut) backup key because that's how you program every other Ford. LOL!

I'm really hoping @OlyPen was kidding about that part.
