At least it includes the programmingYes includes programming.
it’s actually two Ford part numbers: the fob for $160 and the emergency key insert for $50. Must order both together. It is not a standard Ford fob as the dealer had none in stock.
Ford part numbers 164R8310 and 164R8311
Should be easy, some folks don't appear to understand that the original MME remote is used for a line of Ford's, the only different can be the logo or the button. Not all remotes work but it appears about ~57 Ford vehicles use the same FCC ID and Frequency etc.I will find out today at my service appointment. Says it was from a 2018 explorer and the main reason I chose it was because it had the ford logo so my wife and I can easily grab the right key programmed to our profile. She is barely 5'2" and I'm 6' so our seat memory is pretty different ?
The only heartache here is that you have to pay $200, but the dealer is just over charging you for the remote to pay for the programming. In the end it's a close wash. Should be about $150 to $175 (Buy your own, pay them to program etc)
