Programming complete. Paid the $65 using my FordPass rewards.
What dealer? How many rewards points? I'm still waiting for mine to be applied to my account. Thanks for the suggestion. Contacted a locksmith and he wanted $285 to program it. Forget that.

Just got mine yesterday and will be contacting my dealer today.

I will not be begging forgiveness for 1) Purchasing something that should have been included on a $60K car; and 2) For buying something that the dealer could not even quote me price and availability on.

I'll probably end up paying what they ask, but if it's north of $100, they will get some flak.
Call around Ford dealers. Mine only charged $90

I agree that you need to call around. Here in the SF Bay Area, I have received quotes from $100 to $225 from Ford dealers. A non-dealer locksmith quoted $100 but could not program my remote.

Just got back from the dealer and everything seems to work on my extra fob. They charged me $42.50. I haven't been brave enough to try that one out yet with no phone or the other key fob, might do that here in a few minutes. I don't know if I need to or can add a second key fob to my profile or not.
I think you can only add one fob to your profile either fob 1 or 2 or 3 etc

If you don't need it right away, you can wait for them to be back in stock at the Ford parts site for $34.

https://parts.ford.com/shop/en/us/e...elated-parts/remote-control-system-13541623-1

Then you can get the key blank from Car and Trucks for $8.95

The problem is that (at least according to the parts manager at my dealer) is 1) They have no idea when it will be available, and 2) When it does become available, they will not be $34.

Gem City Ford...it's a long way from Aurora!
It required 13,280 points.

They were available when I ordered, and I paid less than $34. No guarantees, but they may still be that price when they’re back in stock.

I know this sounds nuts but I really think our dealers should program the second FOB for free. It would be great PR (of which they need - the positive kind); it doesn't cost them anything but the time of somebody doing it and my guess that it doesn't take that long; Ford should have provided two in the first place and we have incurred the cost of an additional one; and dammit I want it done for free! ? Now back to reality. :(

Well I spent an hour on Friday at a Locksmith who said he had the latest and greatest equipment and he could not connect to the Mach-E. Afterwards I called 3 other locksmiths and each of them said that the Mach-E was not listed in their "boxes". Saturday i found another locksmith and he said the Mach-E was listed on the site he got his "box" from and so we set up an appointment for today (Monday) and he tried 2 different "boxes" and neither of them could perform the proper handshake required to program another fob. One of the "boxes" was named "SmartBox".

I also called the Ford dealer on Friday and asked for a quote to program two fobs and the person I spoke with said the person who could help me was on another call and would call me back. Sad to say I never got a call on Friday, Saturday or today (Monday).

This is getting VERY FRUSTRATING. One Key and PaaK that doesn't work consistently, a service department that doesn't return calls and the ability for a locksmith not to be able to program a key. I'm sure that the Ford dealer will come out on Sunday morning at 7 A.M. to program a key when the only one I have is lost / misplaced.

This is BEYOND RIDICULOUS, Ford, get your crap together and send ALL of us a second keyfob and a certificate for at least 1 FREE programming of the fob.

When asked about my experience I will NOT be giving good reviews.

This is the WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD.
