Trying to figure a few things out and could use some help please:
1) is there a setting to allow the passenger side view mirror to tilt down when in reverse so you can see the curb when parallel parking? If so, I can’t find it.
2) how the heck do you activate BlueCruise?
3) why did I get an email telling me I’ll have 22,000 loyalty points waiting when I activate the modem even though it was activated during delivery? Is there some way to get the points?
4) how do I re-center the map/screen after I move it around with my finger?
5) are 1 pedal driving and the hold setting redundant? Meaning, if I turn on 1-pedal, do I need the hold setting too?
6) when set to allow comfort entry/exit (seat slides back when exiting/entering), it always slides back when getting out, but not after I get in. I hit brake/start, put in gear and nothing. Have to press the memory button on the door to get it to move. Am I doing doing something wrong?
7) should I just give up on phone as key walk away/walk up lock and unlock? I’ve spent hours on the phone with tech support engineers, all the Bluetooth has been removed, re-added, reset, etc etc. I HAVE a Bluetooth connection showing in the app. I think once it unlocked on walk up, but never on walk away. Not once.
8) subjective question… premium ER is rated 0-60 4.8 seconds. My 2019 Tesla Model 3 LR I just traded on it was rated at 0-60 at 4.8 seconds. Yet the Tesla felt SO much faster off the line. Like pin your ears back, pee in your pants torque and acceleration. I have the Mach-e set to unbridled, but it seems… a lot slower?
9) is there a faster easier way to open the rear hatch than digging three deep into the menus to tap the unlock button or pulling my phone or key out and clicking or pressing? Is there a simple trunk open button somewhere that I’m missing?
10) what’s a good tire pressure for winter? Higher than 39?
Please feel free to answer one, more or all. Thanks!

Program one of your memory buttons to have the mirrors tilted down where you want them during reverse. Or use your cameras or your eyes.

BlueCruise activates when lane centering and adaptive cruise control are both turned on. (Steering wheel buttons.)

Points should arrive within a few weeks after you added the car to FordPass.

To recenter the map, tap the icon that looks like a vehicle with arrows pointing at it from all four sides.

Auto hold is always active while 1PD is active. The preference shown only impacts 2PD mode. Use the help icon next to the options to discover more info of this nature (and read the manual).

Phone as a Key is a different Bluetooth connection than the one used for music and hands free calling. On my Android phone it just looks like a bunch of hexadecimal digits (a unique identifier for my PaaK connection, I presume), although I renamed it to PaaK or similar.

To experience the fastest acceleration, you'd need to mash the pedal all the way down. Your driving mode (Unbridle etc) isn't important if you're goal is only fastest 0-60.

I usually open the trunk by pushing the button hidden under the trunk lip... But the ways you mentioned work too. Some people replaced their physical max defrost button (near the headlight control) with a tailgate open button... That is somewhat advanced/hacky though.

I use the OEM tires and the cold tire pressure listed on the door jamb, year round, filling/emptying as needed.

Good tip on the mirror tilt. Yes, on iPhone the separate Bluetooth connection shows as Mach e + last 5 of vin. It’s connected. Still doesn’t work. Thanks for taking the time to answer.

For the first two Ford we bought this year, point came in within two weeks. The one that we bought on the first of this month, we still have not received the points but 250 kw has been credited within 2 days. Called Ford two week back and I was told to wait up to 60 days.

There is also a way to change the software with Forescan so the passenger mirror tilts in reverse. However, if you have the 360 camera view, you will likely find that you don't need the mirror tilted any longer since the 360 view shows you everything you need.

I think the MME AWD ER is rated for 5.2 seconds, not 4.8. That's quite a bit of performance difference, so it'll feel slower than your M3 LR. Also, I believe torque is limited in the MME until around 20-30mph or so, probably to reduce stress on the driveline from standstill launches.

1) is there a setting to allow the passenger side view mirror to tilt down when in reverse so you can see the curb when parallel parking? If so, I can’t find it.
Don't think so, but with the 360 degree camera and the proximity sensors I'm not sure you need it.

4) how do I re-center the map/screen after I move it around with my finger?
I don't know, but you're not using Tesla anymore - try Apple CarPlay for Maps/Google Maps/Waze (or Android Auto, if you have an Android phone). I know opinions were mixed from Tesla users as to whether Tesla's system was better than the phone-based car systems, but I haven't heard anyone state a preference for the built-in solutions from traditional auto manufacturers over CarPlay or Android Auto.

5) are 1 pedal driving and the hold setting redundant? Meaning, if I turn on 1-pedal, do I need the hold setting too?
One-pedal driving (1PD) makes Auto Hold redundant, but not the other way around. 1PD will slow the car to a stop and keep it stopped unless you use the accelerator. Auto Hold just keeps the brakes down when you're stopped; if you tap the accelerator then the car will begin to move forward, slowing only based on your drive mode's regenerative braking settings, and not attempting to slow to a stop.

Not once.
I've tried it and it works intermittently, although I can reliably get it to work if I open the FordPass app on my phone near the car (although I do have the app set to be running in the background and it maintains the connection). It's a topic of consternation on the forums; the general consensus is that it has improved over the past two years but a lot of people still have it flake out on them.

As others have said, this depends on your motor configuration. The Premium ER RWD is actually one of the slower models, as it carries more weight without getting an added power boost. Premium ER AWD is the third fastest Mach-E. So it could be that your model is legitimately slower. Otherwise, I don't know - it's the fastest car I've ever owned, but my Nissan Leaf could also throw me back in my seat. Difference is that the Mach-E can still pull when accelerating into the 70-80 MPH range whereas the Leaf felt like a regular car around the 60 MPH range. The Model 3 sits lower to the ground, so there may be a speed perception difference there, too.

10) what’s a good tire pressure for winter? Higher than 39?
I know my location is listed as Hawaii and that makes it weird for me to give advice on this one, but I grew up in a place with snow and ice. The general recommendation is to go with a slightly lower tire pressure in the winters to increase traction - maybe 2-3 PSI lower than the manufacturer recommends. You may suffer range loss and altered tire wear for doing this, but it's better than a crashed car. Granted, the best thing to do - if you have the space and financial resources - would be to get a pair of dedicated winter tires, swapping them in at the start of winter and out at the end. If your listed location (and username) is accurate, the weather should justify the purchase.

I recently got mine and agree it feels slower by the seat of the pants than 4.8s 0-60 but I need better weather and time to feel it out more. Try a brake torque launch. As other have said the accelerator pedal has very long travel so I think some of the delay is just that.

Decreasing tire pressure is no longer recommended during cold weather. It actually decreases tread effectiveness. Good Q and A on this in most recent consumer reports.

Hi everyone, Merry Christmas and thanks for all the responses. Does anyone have any ideas on the seat not sliding into memory position when I get in and go even though it does slide back up when I get out?

PAAK has to be set up BEFORE 'regular' Bluetooth.

You have to get all the way through it in one swoop, including setting up backup code.... or delete everything from phone and MME and start over.

If it is done correctly, you will see a pairing like Fa:8a:....whatever which is for PAAK; do not rename it. Once PAAK is up and running, and Backup code tested, then do your regular phone pairing for calls, texts and phone functions. The second 'regular BT' pairing can be named whatever you want to call you car-phone pairing.
