Are the new contractors the same ones that went into production March 17, 2023? There is the TSB regarding the failures and it applies to 2023s built before that dare.

Both of our GTs were built in May, 2023, so hoping we're good....

Good to see some dealers might actually be able to handle working on EV's.
I'm in a toss up as to if I continue driving 20 miles away to drop mine off where i 'feel' they do a better job, or back to 2 miles away where they botched my FFE's battery replacement. Crappy thing is the place 2 miles away wants people to call and my laundry list of crap to fix will get truncated by the guy that just fills in 'recall'.

I think if you got the "C" part, you are good to go. I don't remember seeing when the "C" part was introduced to production. If someone posted that, I missed it.

Now that parts are available, I would think the dealer will want to take care of the recall at the same time. Dealers are actually supposed to perform any open recall with parts available any time a car is in for service unless the customer specifically declines to have the recall performed at that time. However, reality and procedures are usually two different things.

With how backed up Ford dealers were before this recall, I have a feeling the wait time for a HVBJB recall appointment will soon be a few months out in busy markets.
I called a dealer in Fl, not my purchase dealer and due to holidays and my vacation schedule, replacement is schedule on Jan 4. They will pick up cost of 2 day rental.

Lee's list shows the "B" part number, which I would call the V2 part. It appears the V3 part came later, if the TSB is correct. Who knows?
Yes fair, but if we know the B units are recalled, what changed on March 17, 2023? I guess we won't know for sure but it seems like something changed in March otherwise the TSB would cover all 2023s, right? Such a weird set of circumstances, I guess we will never know entirely.

Agreed.

According to the recall notice in the OP, only the "V1" (or the "A" part for the GT) is getting recalled. But if you happened to get the V2 part, and it fails, at least you know you will then get the V3 part.

Most dealers have done a few of these by now, so if you get a failure, it will likely get fixed quickly. Back at the beginning the repair time was horrible.

Just called my dealer about the 23S56 HVBJB recall. They are very confused! I talked to two different service advisors, and both insist I need to bring the car in for an initial inspection before they can order the new HVBJB. Turns out I am the first one to call on this updated recall, and they apparently have no clue yet. To make matters worse, they told me they have not yet replaced an HVBJB, so I will be the guinea pig. AARGH!! Maybe I will try another dealer, although the closest are 60 and 120 miles away.

No, you do not need to bring your car in for diagnosis first if the recall applies. They are able to order the part based on your VIN ahead of time. If they won’t budge then schedule with a different dealer.
