Got my car back tonight. Updated parts installed and my car is cleared from the recall. No car wash, full charge, or pass rewards points. ?

Think I'm going to wait a little bit before I do this recall to let them get a few under their belt. Plus I just had the RM part put in and want to waste some WOT I^2R on it before I have it surgically replaced again. I'll at least wait for the snail mailed letter expected in mid-Jan.

I really wish I could let my hands on both NK4Z -C and -E parts and cut them open to see what's different.

It's great to see all the posts with the results of mostly successful recall processes.

I tried calling two dealerships today and it sure seams like they aren’t interested in making this easy. Tuttle Click in Irvine, Ca wouldn’t book an appointment until I showed up in person. Villa Ford in Orange, Ca wouldn’t schedule anything until I got a letter for the recal - which I have.

Had to drive 25 minutes to my dealer and 25 minutes back home because my dealer wouldn’t order the parts until I left the car at the dealership. Printed out the pdf and the guy got a little combative with me saying that because I had the papers doesn’t mean it’s true. Manager approved ordering the part without my car being there after 15 minutes of waiting. This is an hour of my life I’ll never get back.

Sometimes you just can’t win …

Called to schedule recall service last week. Went over the recall notice with service scheduler on the phone. Verified rental authorized. Pointed out that parts need to be ordered and it might take 5 days - she checked with service manager. Yes, parts will be ordered. Called yesterday to check. Adviser unavailable but left message. I gave it 50/50.

Showed up early this morning. No parts. Reschedule for next week. Ugh.

Well, I’m glad my experience with the recall (so far) seems much better.

Just called my local dealer where I bought the car.

They scheduled me for next Weds (Jan 3).

They also said I’m “eligible” for pickup/drop off and a loaner.

So they’ll pick up my car, drop off the loaner and do the opposite when it’s done!

They also should fix my update issues (haven’t gotten one since Aug) and my headlight switch.

I scheduled an appointment last week for tomorrow (12/28) and made sure they were ordering the parts. I called today to verify that they actually ordered the HVBJB and they insisted that they WILL NOT order the parts until they reviewed the vehicle in person, ran updates, and checked for codes. I called the BEV team and they insisted the dealer was correct in not ordering the parts until they had to the car and were able to run tests first. This is wasting an additional day for nothing and goes against most of what I have read here.
Follow-up. Dropped off my Mach-e today only for them to confirm they need to order the HVBJB. What a surprise /s. This is exactly as I told them when I booked the appointment and originally asked them to order the part. They fixed the parking brake recall, so at least that happened.

They told me that once they get the part it may take 4 days to more than a week to fix. Hopefully they can work out a rental car for the duration of the fix.
