Yes but the Superbowl one was intentional -- this is just sloppiness from some producer and the on-air reporter. How could they possibly not have thought they should be doing a segment on saving gas filming in an EV?

its just creative journalism. They show an EV so people will pick up on their subtlety and go "I could just buy an EV", but they also don't alienate the other side of their fanbase who think electric cars are killing the 5G towers, or whatever other conspiracy they've cooked up by now

I have tried really hard to get those gasoline nozzles at Mobil stations to fit into my electric charging port

Never really thought of this before but just think how much fuel would be saved if the entire country went to a 4/10 work and school week. Of course people would do things on their day off but 20% less daily commute.

Maybe the tech company making cars (TSLA) should have proximity sensors to kick off a warning using their external speakers when the car is this close to a gas pump

Unfortunately, non-car people won't even notice or even care. I had my wife watch the entire segment and I'm kind of embarrassed to say this but my wife didn't even know that the example car was a Mach-E in the imgur and YouTube clip. ?
