Ford removed the bluecruise prep feature sometime this morning :(

Have any of you with the stuck 1.7.1 update tried using the recovery method for the APIM where you have to plugin a USB-A cable directly into the APIM module (Meaning you need to take part of the dash apart)

This will reflash it like it would a mobile phone.

Be very careful and pay attention to how much it downloads as the Ford server thought my Maps were updated and didn't include them in the second stage where you have to plug in a USB drive.

I had to get my APIM repaired.
I didn't try that option because as I clicked on it was a bold instruction not to use it unless instructed by higher ups to do so. I was worried that could arguably make a warranty claimable issue into my personal problem. Although, logic suggests this would fail on the mach-e as no dealership has managed to fix this issue without a APIM replacement.

@Eric_C_Boston Where did you find all of this detail on the different VBF file purposes?
I did an GWM update via FDRS so the files were downloaded to an USB flash drive. .vbf files have text header information at the beginning:
vbf_version = 3.1;

header {
// Description
description = {"ECG CBZMAP vbf header"};

// Software part number
sw_part_number = "MU5T-14H394-AAE";

// Software part type
sw_part_type = EXE;

// Format identifier
data_format_identifier = 0x00;

// ecu_address or list
ecu_address = 0x716;

// Frame format
frame_format = CAN_STANDARD;

// File checksum
file_checksum = 0x6f075085;
}
{
"fileCount": 1,
"ecuId": "0x0716",
"did": "9140",
"stoppable": "false",
"partNumber": "MU5T-14H394-AAE",
"signatureAlg": "X509CMS",

Inside the image file there are application headers:
<descriptor xmlns="urn:ford/fnv2/alm/descriptor/v1.0">
<package id="com.ford.ecg.CBZDATA"
part-number="MU5T-14H127-VLF"
name="Connected Blue Zone Data Application"
author="Ford Motor Company"
version="00.26.00.170"
type="app"
format="QNX6-FS">

The Module Details window below the Module Overview list on the Vehicle Info tab in FDRS lists the DID (PID) Part Numbers and other things when you highlight a module in the overview list.

Power-Up 2.4.2 includes module updates available in FDRS.
Link

I also did a GWM/ECG update this month that was BlueCruise related, so maybe that is a future OTA, like 2.5.2?

I flashed all modules last week. My quickcharge was very good until 92%. At 80% i got 42 kW and it stayed that way until 92%

So i have 2.4.2 running ?

Does anyone know of any 30 to 50amp versions like this? That are digital and come with the alligator clips already? So odd it goes from 20amps to like 60amps or else you have to go analog/more old school route. I can find 30amp maintainers, but no straight up power supplies.

Im on 2.4.1 with EA(and BC EA). 2.4.3 failed to install more than a week ago, with no retries.

No change in widget status, still shows failed 2.4.3, with "General Failure will retry".
Today in FDRSI saw a whole bunch of updates available. Does anyone know if these are parts of 2.4.2 thru 2.5.2?

A few of us (such as @scoopman @HuntingPudel @DevSecOps and @generaltso ) are currently having a race to see who can install the BC updates first via FDRS.

In the midst of this race for bragging rights and superiority (which I am going to loose, by the way) I discovered a little life hack that I'd like to share.

Parsec (a free remote desktop software) is AMAZING so you can keep an eye on the longer updates while being comfortable inside, watching youtube videos

Heh, I’m not in that race. No Co-Pilot 360/Active 2.0 on my car. We’re I in that race I would be the big loser since you can’t install the BlueCruise stuff on my car. LOL ??

I've taken the entertainment out to my car in my garage -- I'm still way too uncomfortable to leave my car unattended when all this stuff is going on.

Let's see if FDRS wants to install it tomorrow!

First - A rotary phone??????

Second - I always though the challenge was to see who could last the longest. I guess I've been doing this circle thing wrong my entire life.

Third - The only person you listed with a job1 is the general... the rest of us have been enjoying Bluecrap for a while now.
