It was an ICC (instrument cluster) update designed for Job1, that was released to Job2 VINs, that broke Bluecruise on Job2. It basically took us backwards, pre Job1 having bluecruise.
Thanks! So to triple-confirm (and continuing to be responsible for my own actions!), you think that everything except a potential ICC update should work fine on a Job 2 car, and the only thing I'd lose is looking at endless progress bars in my driveway for a day, and not things like, say, cruise control.....

That was a while ago. Now that the Job1 and Job2 vehicles are in alignment I don't think there should be anything that bricks bluecruise or other features that were, at one point in time, only available for job2.

I haven't hooked up my car to a computer in a couple months so I can't tell you what is available. From historical, personal, experience, Ford likes to release updates on Friday's (for some utterly stupid reason). If you think something looks fishy give it 5-7 days to see if they pull it. If it's still available next week then it's probably safe.

I *belive* that the issue here was traced to using a reduced price cable (VX Diag) rather than the Mongoose-Pro; it was something with the PCM on that specific cable, if I recall correctly - others applied it with Mongoose with no issues. (@benk016 if memory serves this was you on the VX Cable?)

If I’m wrong, someone please chime in - my mongoose cable is supposed to arrive any day now!
Sorry just seeing this, But using the VCX Nano does not work applying the CCM update. I have a case open with their support to resolve this. They released an update and it gets further in the process now but still fails.

It erases the module, then fails as its writing the new data which leaves the module in a state with non-functional software on it. Forscan with an OBDLink adapter was able to flash it normally though.

Not a GT, but I’m working on my Job2 Premium 4X now. If I hit issues, will flag the forum.

Just finished my update run for my Job 2 Prem4x. (Built late December of 2021)

No issues. Updated RFA, HVAC,WACM, OBCC, BECM, SOBDMB, SOBDMC, SOBDM, PCM, ABS, IPMA, CCM, and CMR (some of them as paired/chained updates). Now have a beautifully blank screen of available updates.

SOBDMB initially didn't register as successful and asked if I want to try again; based on the very short time it took upon re-run, it definitely applied fine the first time. OBCC initally hung around under SW Updates, but it cleared when restarting FDRS. As noted prior, the chain of IPMA/CCM/CMR updates took a loooooooong time. The Clore power supply was a champ. Just got back from a test drive and nothing untoward; nearest BlueCruise highway is I-182 over in Tri-Cities, which I should drive through this weekend. (That said, ADAS was working fine.)

Thanks to the thread for all the details... now to see how that updated charging curve works on this weekend's road trip!

It’s interesting that a lot of Job 2 cars have an update for the WACM (Qi Charger), but none of the Job 1 cars do.

Issue: Some 2021-2022 Mustang Mach-E vehicles built on or after 30-Sep-2021 may exhibit the wireless charger inoperative or poor performance when using an some Apple™ iPhone 12 and 13 models that use MagSafe wireless charging. This may be due to limited compatibility with the wireless accessory charging module (WACM). To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to update the WACM.

NOTE: The WACM software is designed to improve the compatibility between Apple™ iPhone 12 and 13 models that use MagSafe wireless charging and the Ford Qi wireless charging module.

I wonder why it only applies to later builds. I can confirm that the Qi charger in my Job 1 car sucks with an IPhone 12 too.

My guess is the hardware might have changed after that date.

I see that the TSB says to confirm the WACM part number, so that makes sense. Maybe Ford didn’t think it was worth creating a fix for the old part number.

Have you, or any one for that matter applied it? My '22 GT heats my iphone 13 up like a hot pack. I'd like to see if it works before I pay for another subscription to update ?

I'd love to try it, but it doesn't appear as an update for my Job 1 car.

I applied it yesterday, but haven’t been on a long enough drive to see if it makes a difference with my 13 ProMax. I can’t say that I noted big issues before…

What's your car's build date? I have a November build GT PE and it isn't showing as available in FDRS.

Don’t have the date (or the car) at hand, but it was around 12/20/21…
