I may have missed this above, but what's the charging pad soft update to not detect metal?
It's a software update in FDRS that either allows the charging pad to detect metal or the other option is not to detect metal. I guess it was for helping the overheated phones. I don't get it, that's why I was asking?
By default, the charging pad will detect metal objects placed on it that could trigger a false charging request. You can turn that auto-detection off, but it doesn't really seem to do much.

In addition to those door module updates, I also got an HCM update.
You're the second GT PE this morning with the HCM. But I think you folks are the only ones getting that.

That TCU update was a week or more ago, don't remember unless there is a new one.
It's new to my car as of last night. I check weekly or more often if I'm bored.

BTW - the last two FDRS software updates seem to have made FDRS much more snappy.

IIRC the bad version that triggered alarms was -AL (oh, the irony of that suffix), so -AM would appear to be the patched version that hopefully doesn't trigger alarms?

Wait...we're back to "-AM" rev again on the doors?

Didn't we do "-AM" before a couple of times or was that "-AN"?

So confusing.

So I've got a quick question for anyone prepared to chip in....

I've had this persistent DTC on my SOBDMC module for the last 5 months or so and it won't clear down like many of the other transient DTC's after FDRS updates.

It's a U2101:00:2F Control Module Config Incompatible - and I've Googled, I've searched Ford PTS and I can find no reason or cure.

I'm considering doing a PMI on the SOBDMC to see if that will clear it - but that seems like a bit of a nuclear option.

Any suggestions?
