Do you use PaaK and a fob? I notice when I only use PaaK, the profile change doesn't happen. But when I carry a fob with me, it happens almost every time. Well at least until this week. I suspect the car is getting confused between the fob and my phone, but that is only a guess.
I’ve only used PaaK since you made this suggestion, and I’ve had zero profile glitches in that time. Is your key signed to a profile? Mine is unassigned, I’m wondering if I should bother assigning it to my profile.

I haven’t had CarPlay not connect since I got 4.2.2.
I have a 2021 mustang GT MachE and I am able to use CarPlay with the current install build a job 2 car

My profile has connected with PAAK 100% of the time for the last few weeks. It's never worked this well since I bought the car last May. Must have been fixed in one of the 4.2.x updates.

I’m almost afraid to agree. I have not had a profile issue since starting this thread.

All the issues I had with SYNC appear to be fixed.

I noticed yesterday that "Brake Coach" popped up when stopping and I was in Unbridled mode.

It used to only work in Engage. Has it been available in all modes for a while and I just never noticed it until yesterday?

Just got 4.2.3 last night. Seems departure times is now saving…yass! One would think something as easy as a save wouldn’t make it last QA. Dare I say no profile bug lately. PAAK wasn’t working after the update but seems to be ok after the initial restart. Let’s hope we are bug free for awhile!

Perhaps you got "Drive mode not available" and didn't notice it popped up, and it kicked you out of unbridle? That has happened to me....

I thought the same thing. When "Drive Mode Not Available" happens it defaults to Engage, and then you see the Brake Coach if it is enabled in the settings.

For what it is worth, we experienced 'drive mode not available' three times so I took it to Ford service department yesterday. They reported that they could not replicate the condition - no surprise because the condition is not consistent, nor did the vehicle generate an error code, nor has Ford issued a technical service bulletin regarding this condition.

Just sharing so you know what you might expect from your Ford service department. This dealership is very professional, has a couple of dedicated EV technicians, and has been quite responsible.

Since I haven't had it reappear since then, I have to assume the error message popped up and I just didn't notice it. My IPC has stayed at Unbridled so it must've been a very momentary thing when I just happened to be slowing down.

The inconsistencies of the Mach-e that one can bite us all. Same procedure different result is common on mine. Opened first button press yesterday and carplay booted right up. That is not consistent with norm. Take names and get pictures. ;)

Sorry it has been so long; I just got around to assigning my Lightning key to my profile this morning. It's quite easy, with the vehicle on and in Park or in Accessory mode, select your profile icon. Then press the pencil icon to edit your profile. The next screen will give you options to add/remove a fob or phone from your profile.
