Thread for people who haven't gotten their Mach-E's yet to be grumpy in

I've briefly talked about this before, but I'm feeling extra grumpy today so it bears repeating, if for nothing else but to vent. (sorry for the long post)

I came into the reservation a bit late on October 2020. I had a reservation number in the 104XXXXX range. It's still pretty high up there, but whatever. On February 19, I get an email that says my reservation has been canceled. I check my bank account and sure enough, my $500 was refunded. I called the dealer and they were bewildered. He said he called Ford and they couldn't give him an explanation and said I had to re-reserve. I asked if that would impact my place in line and he said that it would NOT. I was skeptical, but reserved again, $500 was taken out and received a 106XXXXX number.

Fast forward a bit and the Ford social media account signed into this forum, so I shot them a PM, asking if they could find out what happened. They opened a ticket and a few days later I get a reply from someone at Ford that simply says, "Your account shows your dealer canceled your reservation on 2/19 and that you reserved again that same day and received a different number. There is no way to preserve your build time frame with the old account". I replied to the email to ask if there is any way to plead my case since I didn't initiate the cancellation. Silence, nothing, not even a "sorry, no". I emailed again, again silence. Tried a third time, nothing.

So, I guess I'll be driving a shiny 2022 version of my GTPE instead of a 2021 model and I'll continue to wait. It's just kind of shitty that something that wasn't even my doing is ending up penalizing me and Ford doesn't seem to care.

I was extra fricking grumpy yesterday, went to a BMW dealer and purchased a BMW X3 Hybrid.

Awesome, awesome car. I can travel to and back from work on almost pure electrical power, I don't have to worry about range, the interior is sweet, and power is pretty good 0-60 in 5.9.

My GTP is on order and I'm going to keep the order because I still plan on getting it.

However, if Ford doesn't work out all of the glitches, the charging issues and the customer relationship experience, I'm going to get even MORE grumpy and consider possibly something else.

For now, still super excited to get the GTP... but my expectations are that I'm at least 12 months out from getting it (assuming the Ford dealership doesn't 'forget' that it was ordered and sells it to someone else for $10K over).

I really can’t find out where my Mach-e is. The Ford site says it’s shipping but the shipped dot is still not colored. The Palsapp says Pending. It’s been 10 months since I ordered it!

Yes, I started off with the grump. The check marks in my order once again disappeared from the management page. They come, they go. The interior protection package still isn’t showing on my order in the management page. And I am a mushroom in the process since the dealer is in the dark and Ford Corporate has no outbound communication about this part of the process.

If it came down to me being ticked off enough (honestly, still a ways to go before that) to cancel my GTPE order, I can't think of any other car that ticks as many boxes for me as it does, so I might as well stay.

Favorite color is orange - check
Want a sub 4 second car - check
Cool looks - check
Under 70k - kinda check
Still has tax incentive - check
Make doesn't rhyme with Besla - check

I have a lot of hurdles to jump over if I were to jump ship. The only other EV that impresses me right now is the Lightning but that wait will be even longer.

Reading this thread almost got me into a grumpier mood! reading about people waiting ten or eleven months for a car and its only been two weeks for me!
Did not buy online, instead went to my trusted dealer, Porter Ford to check out the one thing stopping me from buying a new car...did the rear seats fold flat?
I did not need a new car and my 2017 Escape is holding up very well but the thought of having a Mustang and an electric one at that, convinced me to place an order on the spot.
The salesman and sales manager assured me there was no ADM charged and the agreed upon price is the same as if I had ordered online (I have the printout)
Now looking though this forum I have discovered there are plenty of Mach-E's available for immediate sale, but they are all standards with the small battery and only rwd! I guess I'll stay grumpy and wait for MY Premium Star White 4+, after all its ONLY 24 plus weeks to go?

@BalsaDust I don't even have an estimate on how long it's going to take for mine to arrive. My assumption (and you know what happens when one assUmes) is that it's going to be somewhere around the 24 week mark from my date of order. Or maybe not. My reservation number is high, so it may be longer. The check marks are still missing from the Management page next to "Order Sent to Dealer" and "Order Accepted by Dealer" even though the site says that I am in the "Place Order In Progress" stage. But, I still have hope. ?

So, we all can be grumpy and still have hope!
