Hi all,

We're planning a trip from home in East Sussex to Herefordshire so (having had some good charger tips for a family trip to Devon last month ?) I thought I would ask around to see if anyone could suggest some good medium/fast chargers.

Once we're round the M25 ? we're likely to go either via the M4/M5 to Gloucester, or more directly the M40/A40 to Gloucester - then from Gloucester over into Herefordshire.

There don't seem to be many good chargers once you cross over the River Severn, so if anyone knows any good chargers broadly in the triangle between Swindon-Bristol-Gloucester/Cheltenham that would be great ??

Many thanks for any thoughts/experiences you might have!

Cheers,
David
If you come down the M4, Chippenham Pit Stop just off J17 is really good. They have Ionity chargers and they have worked every time I've been there - think there are 4 x 350Kw chargers.

Hi @portlandg

Re: the OTA, I am exactly the same as you!

Saw an update had been applied but no information when I clicked on "Details". Am also definltely on 2.3.0 but showing 2.1.0. ?

My car is a year old next Friday, so am looking forward to a special OTA from Ford ?

Cheers,
David
I've just had an update successful icon appear on my screen (again). Clicked on details and this time my main screen now displays latest update as 2 6.0.
Happy birthday for next Friday

The affected VIN's for the HV Battery Connector issue have been updated in PTS by Ford UK.

The stop sale notice has now been brought into effect here too.

Morning all,
This may be a stupid question, my car is booked in to the dealership next week to clear the stuck OTA 1.71 update, but as the car as is also affected by this Battery recall will they hold onto it until there is a fix?

Check Etis this morning and Is all ready there.
Mine too, I have an appointment at the dealer tomorrow (for another issue), there's no way that they wouldn't give my car back because of this is there?

I very much doubt it. As far as I am aware Ford have only put a delivery hold on the cars NOT a stop sell. Those that are on the road haven't had a DO NOT DRIVE notice. Dealers can still sell, although there is an STOP ORDER on them at the moment, they just can't deliver them until the fix is applied. So those who have cars in Antwerp/Flushing/Dagenham might have a bit longer to wait.

Just walked down to see my dealer to book my car in for the fix. He laughed. ??????
Apparently the 'fix' won't be available for at least 2 - 3 months. Given that Ford think the cause is due to DC charging and heavy right boots, my advice would be to minimize DC fast charging as much as you can and keep that right foot in check.

Hi @portlandg

Thanks for that - and the Gloucester Services recommendation ?

Checked in my car and likewise now shows success and the details as 2.6.0 ?

Cheers,
David

And if your car is more than a year old your subscription to get the Ionity cheap rate will cost you £149

Yes can I also reiterate *there is no fix right now* for the HVJB issue - it’s not due to be available for quite a while as they are still working on an appropriate resolution…. so for the love of god do not go harassing your dealer to book it in until you get a letter in the mail.

@portlandg - I have to point out the notice *is* a hard stop sell and no demonstrations according to the Ford systems I have access to. It’s being treated exactly the same as the eCall issue last year.

Mine run out last month but FP still showing discount rate
As is my FP, but if you try to use your Blue Oval Charging Card you will not get the discounted rate unless you pay the subscription fee (£149 for Ionity, £7.85 for BP Pulse)

And also the problem with that is they might up the kwh rate during your £149 paid up year, seems a bit unfair it can't be a monthly fee so you can cancel if one month the kwh price goes too high

My GT is being loaded onto the ship at Veracruz today
Do you think it will be held in Antwerp until the fix come out
Due to be delivered first week in September so hopefully that gives Ford enough time!!
