Mine too, I have an appointment at the dealer tomorrow (for another issue), there's no way that they wouldn't give my car back because of this is there?
I imagine you and @Baz.W. should be okay, my Mach E has been in for 3 weeks, and was finally finished today and I picked it up fine!

Looking for some advice!
I’m going to long trip in a few weeks (3650km) mainly fast chargers and I’m a bit concerned about this new issues.
I have two options:
To take the risk and go with MME or to go or to take a risk and go with another EV which is new and don’t use to drive and don’t know anything about it ?

I use DC chargers at least 5 times a week and have done so for a year without any problems, I also drive like I've stolen it, so give it a go. As a side note, Mach-e's all over the place, there were 3 of us on the M11 on Tuesday and then another 2 at Rugby services on Monday...I've yet to see an orange one yet though, although I'm in Norfolk next week so will keep an eye out!

If you come down the M4, Chippenham Pit Stop just off J17 is really good. They have Ionity chargers and they have worked every time I've been there - think there are 4 x 350Kw chargers.
There are four. I was there again this morning. All taken up, and a person waiting. So turned around and carried on. I like it there as have never had a problem and are fast.

I have been reading the reviews/news items that I missed while I was away on Electrifying.com and see that the new Genisis brand are offering their new EV owners 5 years free subscription to the Shell and Ionity networks which will, according to the article, give them a discounted price for an Ionity charge of 24p/kwh. As Ford have a share in that network it is a real shame that they don't appreciate us MME owners enough to offer us the same. Just goes to show how important we are to them (not).

Yes it’s shame
Probably for safety (not to use fast chargers) ?

I am not sure whether this is coincidental, having had 2 software update notifications, or an ongoing issue but this week I have noticed that I have a problem with my near side rear lights.
The left and centre lights on the bottom row seem to have become VERY temperamental. They DON'T illuminate more than they do. They should come on when I approached the car but don't. They don't always come on when the lights are on. All the others light up when I open the tailgate handsfree. The interesting thing is that the indicators still seem to work fine. Any one else had this issue? Just booked it in for investigation.

The recall issue is such a small rate (0.5% of cars). So I would imagine there is a higher chance of getting a flat tyre than getting the problem. I think that is the rate anyway please correct me if I am wrong.

Which recall are you referring to? Where did you get that figure from? If it is the latest one, for the HV contactor problem, then it has the potential to be 100% of cars. It has been reported that there is the potential of 48,000+ in the US and 100,000+ total, which means ALL of the cars on this side of the pond could be affected too. See the link I posted on my post 14103.

It is 100% of all cars are susceptible but only under 100 have had the issue so far out of 100,000 cars.

Go with the MME if I were you. If you've had your car for a while with no issues relating to the battery and charging, then you should be fine! The 'new issues' aren't really new, it's just that Ford have realised there is a problem with some cars that needs a fix (so if yours is fine, then I wouldn't worry too much).

If you've got an extended range MME, then there are few other EVs that can compete on a long roadtrip. I've driven mine from London down to the Alps, Cornwall, and the Lake District with no charging issues.

Would still like to know where you heard/read that less than 100 cars have had the issue.

The service manager at my Dealers phoned me yesterday after I emailed him about the HVB recall. I read on the whatsapp group that it's possible there may be an ota fix. But my car won't accept OTA's as it's stuck between 1.6.1 and 1.7.1.
He told me he got the correct cables to be able to carry out the TSB for the stuck OTA problem and he's done both their demonstrators as they were affected. The TSB fixed the problem! Now he wants mine in asap.
The problem he had is that he can't loan me an MME due to the recall. I told him anything would do on this occasion so he said give me 5 mins... about 3 mins later he called me back. My MME is going in on Tuesday and Wednesday and they're giving me a Puma auto as a loaner.
They will carry out the TSB and update the software to bring it up to current specs.

Result ??
