As the cars get closer I think I am ready. Having bought my last car by taking my golf clubs into the ford dealer and asking for any car that fits them. Also I never ordered a car to any sort of specs just going with what they could give me within a week. So have been going overboard on the prep due to the long wait

I have

2 faraday pouches (arriving tomorrow) my latest must have !
1 screen protector arrived from US

Never before looked after a car washing waxing etc during the wait i have watched car detailing youtube videos and practiced on anyones cars that would let me. Detailing products bought

Snow foam cannon - luckily already had a pressure washer
5L snow foam
2 detailing wash buckets with grid guards
Wheel bucket and brushes
fancy car shampoo
fancy cleaning mits
Loads microfibre towels
Clay Mit for decontamination (my car has been parked outside for 6m)
wheel cleaner
tar remover
Car polish and various applicators
Diamondbrite 2 stage car glaze
alloy wheel protector
Fancy car wax
leather cleaner and protector (yes I know its Vegan)
APC( allpurpose cleaner)
Trim shining stuff.

Ordered boot protector and rubber mats through dealer

I probably have ordered other stuff but forgotten about them

Now I just need one more thing?

I wouldn't have thought they would want a deposit before getting the car to the dealer.

That said I have never leased a car before - when I placed the order I ticked the "cash" option and had planned to get a bank loan, but having looked at Ford Lease, for my situation, that seemed a good deal.

The dealer said we could sort all this out when they got the car, before delivery to me - so I assume you should be fine.

What's your latest ETA?

I had an optimistic update the other day saying it should be shipped to Dagenham this week, and will be with the dealer by end of next week. So am busy selling my current car via "Motorway" ?

Let us know how you get on with Motorway please. Later in the year when my MME arrives motorway is an option that's on the table.

In terms of CCTV, that is ideal for capturing accidents for insurance claims etc etc. A very overlooked subject in my eyes and they should be recording 24/7.

Looks like it's not just us over here that have issues with how the orders were allocated for production. Their silence is deafening although I'll give them the benefit of doubt for 24 hours as they are only just about to wake up!

As far as we know our cars just stay on the ship. They may be loading/unloading other stuff from the ship.
