Ford has now officially established itself in the forum, (see my post in Norwegian OWNERS),
an source post by Ford, they write that they read and work with our forum, - very good, - Ford!

And I think they, and we probably need some structure to giv good Feedbacks, in addition to those that are searchable, and demanding tracker for Ford ... - but these are robot agents and keywords, - Right ?! FORD ?:

and good descriptions will probably be important ...
I see from looking at their posts that they are only supporting US customers. Typical from ford so far.

I think we'd better to explain to new people here that

PDI = Pre Delivery Inspection

PTI = technical software update done to our cars which has happened for some in Antwerp but not people like me and Grahame!
Following on from @stesir post earlier who said his Etis PTI date changed on 19/5 which was when it was at his dealer having it's PDI. He took delivery on 21/5 (He is in Norway). Mine, supposedly, had it's PDI yesterday but there is no change in my dates. Still says 8/12/20. If my PDI goes into today I'll check later on

yes, and they didn't reply to my comments or my private message.

and as per usual, some not very friendly comments from USA members denying that they are being treated any differently to us etc

Which insurance company you use?
I spoke with LV and they refused to insured Mach E because is to risky.
I did a fair bit of hunting around with insurance. Used GoCompare, Compare the Market, also checked with Aviva & Direct Line.

In the end I went with Axa for £290pa with protected NCD and courtesy car options.

MME RR ER RWD ?
Country flag
I'm with Admiral and have a multi car policy with them. Been with them for 4 years and would highly recommend them. My annual premium for my Kuga and my wife's Fiesta with business use is about £650 a year. My policy is due to be renewed in October and substituting my Kuga for the MME for the rest of the term cost me £116, which I thought was very good.
Ho @portlandg and @Mjsd

Likewise my wife and I have Admiral multi-car, which is very good.

Interestingly, the Ford Insure policy is actually through part of the Admiral Group.

Great to be in the position to need to insure your MME ?

I've blocked one of them for being downright offensive and borderline racist towards European members. His attitude has been really abrasive in other threads as well. Worked me up enough that I didn't want to read his drivel anymore.

We're even second class citizens to our fellow owners on here it seems! It's a real shame, but given how large the community is it's to be expected that there's some bad 'uns I guess.

That is a good one. He’s also spot on with his charging infrastructure observations... at least from my firs experience anyway. It’s been just 2 months of me driving an EV, predominantly charged from home, but two occasions I’ve been away from home and had to use public charging, have been a nightmare... even after dutiful planning on my part... it’s all so unpredictable and hit an miss.

Oh lordy - I feel like I’ve well and truly poked the hornets nest over the supplied keys situation. Sorry all - I didn’t realise it would become such an emotive subject.

I know it’s always a bit of a disappointment when a particular feature doesn’t live up to expectations, but I personally won’t be letting it tarnish my joy over my delivery tomorrow.

MME RR ER RWD ?
Country flag
Hi all

I don't know if anyone has seen the latest on the "buzzing instrument cluster" - please see the thread

https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...e-from-the-instrument-panel-cluster-ipc.6382/

Basically, it appears Ford has decided that this is not a problem .... it is a feature! They say it is a normal operating characteristic and replacement is not recommended. Any variation between cars should be considered normal. ?

As I reported from my test drive, the MME I drove had this noise and it was very noticeable - one of the guys at my (very helpful) dealership immediately went out in the car after I mentioned it and reported the same thing.

Personally, I would find it very difficult to accept this is in any (or my!) MME. It was not even a "nice" whine, and certainly would not impress prospective owners with the silent quality of a £50,000 electric car.

I can forgive Ford for many of the other issues that have arisen with the MME, and it is a great car overall and we all recognise we are early adopters, but this appears to be a very basic design/testing flaw and to say that it is acceptable that one car has this feature and another does not is extremely poor .... unless there was a "check-box" I missed on the order for requesting the Rapid Red RWD ER with silent IC ?

Anyway, a positive note to end this post on is that my dealer confirmed this morning that my car is now actually in Dagenham ?

it's embarrassing that the most expensive car I've ever purchased has the worst-looking key fob of any car I've owned in the last 15 years
Yep... absolute joke.

I read we have a 'lemon' law in the UK where you can just return the car? Is that right?

Apparently the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives us the right to reject something faulty within 30 days of purchase for a full refund….
After 30 days you lose the short-term right to reject the goods and may only be able to ask for repair or replacement or a partial refund.
I don’t think the fob will fall under this though…?
