thought so - I was over on the island at the weekend and saw a Rapid Red as well. Hopefully picking up my Infinite Blue later this week
A rapid red!? That’s some first MME on the IoW controversy!! ?

Impressive geo locator you’ve got built in there! Just from that pic ??

Just been on the website in the USA to look at the charge cover fix. They only do them in black.

It is the same $50 shipping charge no matter how many you order.

How many people want one?

If someone ordered in bulk we could get them cheaper than if you lived in the USA.
??‍♂

Shipping suspension locks not removed? (as reported a few days ago on here) Looking at your photo is the 'handbrake' stuck on? Also it sounds like from what you say something has been picked up by the car and is being dragged along. Get down and look under the car... Any way if you've got breakdown assistance call them.
Hi @Tony.T

Many thanks for your reply!

Not the shipping suspension locks, and I had checked the electronic brake (as I do use that) but that automatically releases when you press the accelerator. I couldn't see anything underneath either ?

So I guess I''ll check it out first thing and then call the dealer.

I am very attuned to noises and it has definitely not been there in the first 4 days/160 miles, so something has changed!

Cheers
David

Thanks. Yes I've been using this as it pulls the relevant f12 data from both the main ford webpage and the remote setup webpage without the rigmarole.
Unfortunately my vmac status hasn't changed since end of May and so just hoping like others my data isn't updating as regular as it should. I'm torn about asking Hannah for another update as I think I'd rather live in ignorance rather than getting another confirmed delay!!!

I think you are being very optimistic but I wish I shared your optimism! I think it will probably be at least a few days before we make it to Dagenham, I certainly haven't had any Tapps changes since Saturday morning when it arrived at Flushing. At least Celestine seems to make very frequent trips!
Have you had the email from Ford to say you've arrived in their "European port?"
I probably am being optimistic but I need some good to look forward to lol.
The last email I had was months ago when it was on its way from Mexico. That is it.

Anyway, I only have 12 hours or so to wait to see if it updates.

Ant.

Not sure how, but I think some form of spread sheets needs to be compiled.

Hi all,

I had a problem with the car just now, so thought I would check and see if anyone has had something similar.

Just leaving the house, I noticed a slight "thumping/slapping" sound coming from the rear of the car - in line with the road speed - so turned round after about 400 metres or so and came back home.

I noticed a lot of mud and gravel on the nearside back tyre which I scraped off and set off again thinking I had found the culprit.

But the noise continued.

So I stopped and checked and could see nothing obvious. So I turned down a side lane to investigate more fully.

At that point the following warning flashed up - looking at the handbook the closet thing is the boot open warning ..... which it wasn't.

I turned round again and drove slowly home with the windows open and it seemed more mechanical knocking than the slapping sound.

I can understand the various software glitches, but this appears to be mechanical ?

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Thanks
David

Slapping and thumping from the rear doesn’t sound good. Could you feel it at all or was it just sound? Did it effect the ride at all?

@David-HC You mentioned stones and dirt earlier- not a stone caught between the brake disc and backplate? Had that happen many times. Often driving forward and backwards for a few yards dislodges the culprit.

That’s a good shout. I had exactly that on my Focus ST. Sounded horrendous. Reversed 50 yards up the street, and then forwards it was gone.

Mach-Es seem to suffer from the rear discs sticking. Give it a drive and work the brakes a bit, might free off. There's similar threads on here from those in the USA with these symptoms.

@David-HC this is reassuring. Fingers crossed this is the issue.

Many thanks to you all for your thoughts - that's really kind ??

It appeared to be mainly the sound, so your thoughts on the brakes could be the problem - and it's interesting there are similar US threads.

I will take the OPD off and give the brakes a good work out in the morning ?

Thanks again for all your help,
David
