Well, day 3 of the road trip has been a day of mixed emotions. First of all my car and @Wonky_Donkey's car have been joined at the hip for quite a while. Thet rolled of the production line on the same day. They were parked up in Mexico for 3 months together and then came over to Antwerp on the same boat. They played chase me chase me in Antwerp and on to Flushing. Mine won and got to Dagenham first but @Wonky_Donkey ' wasn't far behind. There they went their separate ways. We both took delivery on the same day, so still difficult to part.
Today, after 5 weeks they were reunited again.
We had arranged to meet at a BP Pulse charging station in Dereham. I arrived with 36%. Both units were not working. Never mind. Not twitching yet, still got 116 miles left. Local knowledge came to the fore and we taken to a lovely pub on the Riverside where we had a good old catch up, lunch and a gossip. On the way back went to another BP Pulse charger, but although this (and the 2 this morning) said they were available it didn't work either. Now I was starting to twitch. I know where there are 9 Instavolt chargers was the cry from the local knowledge guru. 1 of those must be working. Success. Arrived with 23%, left with 75% adding about 180 miles. A bit more expensive at £18 but charged at last.
Total mileage so far 503. Usage 4.1. Still happy. Another very good day and good to finally meet @Wonky_Donkey.

There are no symptoms because they're not being delivered. They're spotted and replaced at Antwerp before the customer gets them.
We hope!!! With Ford's track record, who knows!!! They can't even do accurate lists of cars that are involved!!!

4.1 miles/kwh. No aircon. Don't believe in it. That's why you get bits of glass that go up and down at the touch of a button. Sticking to speed limits, as we all do, all the time

Rediculous that chargers are this unreliable. How often are petrol stations out of order? Never.

We should have called this post “When Black Beauty was reunited with Big Red” ?

Was awesome to catch up in person @portlandg (and to meet L as well!) - can’t believe we gossiped for 8hrs !

Enjoy the rest of your grand tour ?

Safe trip

I've referred some UK car press to this forum to get a sense of frustration & anger from UK customers.

I've not started on other issues such as PAAK & keygate (set against Tesla), screen buzz, crummy badges falling off, overheating screens, & other promised car specs that have not been delivered on UK cars.

I appreciate, criticising the car may not be agreeable to many on here, but as I said previously the treatment I personally have received from ford has brought me to this point. So I offer no apologies & I accept I'll be a hypocrit when I finally get my car but I'm handcuffed to the car now due to plug in grant. Retweets appreciated.
10k + posts spread over 694 pages…Rather them than me ?

Great to see!! Thanks for the updates, and hope we can have a group meet up before too long!

Got my first weekend with my car today so doing a long-ish run tomorrow - hoping for some similar good efficiency figures!

The electric audi? That's pricey! And it's an ID4 under the shell!
Who the f**k calls a car an ID.4. What happened to VW. They have had some iconic cars in the past and now they are nothing more than Rich Tea Biscuits on wheels .
Rant over

They called it ID.4 as it was in keeping with the dullness of the car.

It's obviously aimed at a certain target audience!
