Well today is finally the day when I get to collect my Mach-E :) But my god it has been a frustrating process due to the terrible communication activity from Ford. After car left Mexico on 19 May they advised when it arrived in Antwerp and then when it arrived in Flushing on 15 July. That email stated that they would advise when car got to the UK. Since then I have heard nothing from them. Car got into Dagenham on 21/7 then Liverpool on 23/7 and Belfast 30/7.
Thanks to Hannah at Ford and tools posted by members of this Forum I have been able to keep track. Ford really do need to look seriously at their systems to improve Customer information flow.

Good luck with collection and hope the handover goes well.

I got mailed today to say my MME should be available in 2-3 weeks. So, touch wood, should be on course for a first week September handover, and just need to make sure the dealer holds off registering so I get a 71 plate - I know the vanity!!

I must say, I feel like one of the luckier ones so far having only ordered a month ago and picking up a cancelled order straight away. I also feel that the comms with my dealer have been pretty good and that he has contacted me when he has an update, although last time we spoke was about a month ago. However, I think reading all the comments on here about order timelines and Ford’s conduct massively lowered my expectations to the extent I feel my experience has been pretty positive to date!

Hi all,

I've just spoken again to the FordPass Team re: the Android 3.27 "upgrade" issues

They have confirmed there is an issue with this (I noticed similar posts this morning from members in Norway and Sweden) and they are working to resolve it as soon as possible ?

Hopefully they will release an update in due course ..... although it is not clear how this will be advised as anyone with this issue will not be able to view notifications to the Message Centre ?

Fingers crossed ?

Well I have all the software issues run through on this forum.
All failled OTA.
Home charger location wrong.
Constant notifications off charging schedule, in error.
Every time I unplug correctly, notification of unplug in error.

And the list goes on.

But over the last few days a new one, and just wanted to know if anyone else has this issue.

When I set up my DAB radio with a few pre-sets all good. When I passed the search on DAB it gave me a list of stations alphabetical. A week later no stations or networks shown on the list.
Tried at different location, turn off and on again but no list off stations. Pre-sets still there.

Saw another Mach E, in gray, for the first time a few days ago on Village Way, Beckenham.
Acknowledged the driver and just wonder if he was local to the area and might be on this forum.

I think there is a bit of a general bug in SYNC4 where it's not retaining user settings and options.

There are threads and discussions all over where various bits are not saving to profiles, or the profiles don't load properly. Think we may have to wait for the next update to become available to resolve this one unfortunately.

One tip I can give you though is closing a tile will normally resolve a fault with it. To close a tile swipe down on it, and then re-open it from the icon menu at the top centre of the screen. It's like a mini app specific refresh.

You get a manual on the seat?!?! Or is he referring to the really cheap folder with a 32 page leaflet with just 2 pages in English basically saying how to access the digital manual?!?!

I’ve had the same issue of the DAB radio alphabetical list of stations disappearing. Haven’t tried the @Wonky_Donkey closing tile trick so will see if that helps! At least the presets have stayed put!

Funny you say that- I got the same e-mail earlier.

My situation however is different to that of most members of the group. I ordered mine late April, it was built end of May early June. It's in Antwerp now getting its 2nd stage QC checks. ETA is 18th Sept.

My dealer phones me every Monday Morning with a Vista update and I've e-mailed Hannah a couple of times and got very prompt and helpful replies. She even e-mailed me unexpectedly this week just to give me a heads up about it's ETA. About 10 minutes before my dealer phoned me with the same news!

My grouse is the on-line ordering. You do that with your fingers firmly crossed! There weren't any cars for me to look at at the time so I took a chance with the colour. Luckily I saw one the same spec (Rapid Red ER RWD) when my dealer hosted a road show, several weeks after my order went in.

So far so good- but not very involving.

Hi All,
First post on here. Thought I'd put it in the UK section.

Got my FE about 10 days ago and chalked up over 800 miles already! Using it to go everywhere, at the moment. Quite funny, as I hardly used my 335d in the last 18 months and not driven my 911 Turbo in 2 years!

I too have tails of woe about getting the car, although having read some of the first few pages of this thread, I feel I might have got off lightly. That said, Ford communications and policies suck. They are still debating whether to deliver my car for the £200 that I signed up for when I ordered the car from Peoples in Edinburgh.

I test drove a 4EX in Hereford and later that day, I placed my order. That was earlier in July. It was the last FE om the Ford lists of stock on 1-2 week delivery, so I dived in. Hereford had warned me that stocks were about to run short and to act quickly unless I wanted to wait a few months.

The car was in stock and a cancelled order and I naively believed I'd get it in 2 weeks. Then Ford got involved. The dealers know very little. Ford seem to know a bit, but are not able to make a decision. Everything has to be ok'd by an adult and I can only assume that the adults are in the US, as every decision takes 24 hours, or more to be made. Trouble is, the delivery cost decision has now taken 3 weeks and yet they still can't decide.

Anyway, my car was delivered on a trailer. No handover. No call. Got a call a day later to ask how I was getting on. I've had a few issues and some of the solutions I found on this forum. Others I'm working through myself, or ignoring till I have may main phone back and can sort out then.

So far, getting 3.7kwh and indicating 315 mile range on Guess o meter, so not too shabby.
Handling at speed is poor and quite unnerving under 'heavy' breaking.
Wife loves it. She wanted me to slow down and be smoother and this allows that.
It looks great (Anthracite Grey) and got all mats and flaps fitted before delivery.
Comfortable, but seats lacking 6 way adjustment.
Fits in garage, although only about 2cm spare at front when closed.
Home charger fitted and got economy 7 meter fitted today, so can now start cheaper charging.

Anyway, enough of a first post. Enjoy your MME's, whatever flavour you have.

PS - Do we have a 'secret wave' yet?
All Saab owners used to wave. VW owners have a special wave too.

Anyone know if the UK is ever going to get hands free driving/bluecruise? I was given the impression that we were when ordering, but can’t find anything official online, always refers to the USA.

I know we may need to wait for UK legislation to catch up, but wondering if Ford has made an announcement. My understanding is we have the hardware and this would be included as a free OFA update included in the Tech pack which was c.£10k extra. Everything i have been told has been verbal though.
