Remember seeing this posted on the forum a while back. Just checked ours and what do you know… PSA to anyone who’s taken delivery of their car/is about to collect. Please check asap and try and remove them or get Ford to do it. Totally unacceptable by Ford and the dealers… anyone who did remove them think of a good way of doing it? They seem pretty wedged in

The search on the forum kinda sucks. Never end up finding what I’m looking for. Didn’t mean it in any way apart from alerting new people/reminding people. I saw the original posts about it and forgot about it until just now.

That’s ok I just don’t know what the plastic thing is, looks like it’s some kind of packing on the suspension. need to add it to my list of what to do when I eventually get it

Not sure of the technical term but they’re chocks that sit in the suspension when the car is being transported. I guess to stop them all wobbling about too much etc. not sure who should be removing them but the dealers should certainly be checking them before they hand them over

How did you manage to remove them? Mine seem very wedged in and am not keen on sticking my fingers into the springs if they’re not sitting properly. Got a 250 mile journey home tomorrow so could do with removing them asap
I just pulled it out with my hand. Only found them on front right wheel couldn’t see one on the left hand side. I’ve asked my dealer if I can get it put up on the ramp in case it has fallen behind the wheel if they didn’t take it out.

I’ve not got the original email anymore but I got the reminder on 26 July so I presume the original was about a week before.
I got the car on 30 June so I’d say 3-4 weeks. The survey came from Ford Customer Viewpoint.

Just heard from Hannah- my Mach E arrived at Dagenham yesterday! Not long until I can join the club...
i am stalking your timeline. we test drove the car and decided to order one, but wanted to check out the colour. I’m not sure how Ford expects you to know what a car really looks like from a picture.

anyway bought one on 25/7. It was already built so I am assuming a cancellation. Deliver was approx 12 weeks, but possibly November

I got very excited when I found this forum and the tracker, which I refresh a lot! then I got en email to confirm the car was in a European port. That was 12/8.

how did you find out how the updates were going?
how long was yours in Antwerp?
how long from touch down to collection?

OK, my car arrived in Antwerp early July. It takes a few weeks for them to go through the QPDI checks, then customs. Then it's shipped to Flushing in Holland and onward to Dagenham from there.
Either check with your dealer the latest vista info or better still e-mail the Mach-e concierge team. I've been in regular contact with Hannah and she is very helpful. This is her direct e-mail address. If you know the VIN number of your car then that will help her (you should be able to find this on your Ford account)

[email protected]

Hope that helps!

Is this from 'where is my mme.com' ?

If so it's not reliable as I've discovered. Hannah is your best bet.

Think I’ll wait as they don’t appear to be as neat as the genuine Ford ones.

They have the logo and Mach E. I know they are a lot more expensive but I plan on keeping the car some time anyway so should be worth it.
