Hello to everyone from this new member on macheforum.

I've been enjoying reading all your posts for some weeks but thought it was time to go public and join in with the discussion.

I think I have been a lucky customer when it comes to ordering my Mach E: I noticed back in January that the Ford inventory was showing the exact car I wanted on 12 weeks delivery:
Model Year 2022, Mach E AWD SR in Cyber Orange
That was about 24 January 2022. I went to see my Ford dealer, Evans Halshaw in Bedford, on 26 January and they knew of no reason that I could not secure that car. So I placed an order later that day and got a Ford email the same day saying they had built the car and it was on its way...

My Ford account told me the VIN and www.whereismymme.com told me that the vehicle had been built on 13 Jan 2022 and was in Veracruz, Mexico.

It showed up at the dealers on 8 March, a few days ago. Here is a photo of it sent by my sales executive. That's like 6 weeks from order to delivery to the dealer. I can only say I feel for those of you waiting months and months for your cars.

I collect the vehicle a week on Monday 21 March...

Congrats on the car - I'm a little envious as my 2022 Cyber Orange has been built but is still en route to UK. I ordered mine in October last year.

The bit that hurts most is you've got my licence plate too! ?

I was waiting for my dealer and for Ford UK to finish f***ing me over about exchanging my 2021 lemon before shelling out for the updated plate from DVLA.

Didn't want to spend the cash unnecessarily - but just goes to show - you snooze you loose ?

Best wishes

Wonky, I'm sorry about the registration number. When I saw it was available I was surprised and snapped it up. I guess you are going to leave MY21 MME on the 2021 car? After all, it says exactly what the car is. Have you got a second choice registration in mind?

I'm pleased to hear your 2022 Cyber Orange is on its way to the UK. Do you have an estimated date for delivery to your dealer?

So my SR RWD had it's 18000 mile service (actually done 19400 but hey ho!) anyway, they said it might take 2 days due to update, it took 1 so hopefully they've done what they need to do... I have noticed the mileage which was around 200 at 100% is up to 257 at 97% so that may be a good sign. Apparently the windscreen can be done next week but as it has a stone chip (or 2) if it breaks during replacement I have to cover the cost...good luck with that ? ?

Hi, had my Mach-E just under 2 weeks now. Attempted a 200 mile journey but had issues charging. Was using Chargeplace Scotlands rapid chargers (or attempting to) tried 6 chargers at 3 different locations, only managed to charge at 1 which is not great, sll the chargers were confirmed as working by a few helpful people with different EV’s, but the Mach-E kept saying there was an error. I’ve spoken to a Ford Dealership and they said the the firmware used by Chargeplace Scotlands charger needs updated. Had anyone anymore experience with this?
Also my Satnav went off-roading but is now showing the correct position ?‍♂
Where was the Charger ? The local 50kw Chargeplace in South Glasgow work for me.....free for the time being..And my Satnav randomly does off road also !

I got my MME back after the safety recall. pano roof done, windshield done, customer satisfaction update done.

extremely happy with the dealer despite my gripes (posted earlier). car was valeted for me.

I can't see any noticeable difference in the car except for this range in pic but I don't know if that is due to the recall work or due to the 14C temp we had today.

all in all very happy.

my dealer said the delay is because the sound screen windshields aren't readily available and the third party fitters don't pre-order them until the car is at the dealer.

Forgot to mention. Evans Halshaw Bedford did the recall work for me. Extremely professional. Diana, the customer service agent, texted me regularly to keep me posted on developments.

Mine was the first MME they did and they said they have a couple more lined up now. They are staggering the bookings so that they can offer a 4X as a loaner, the same one I got.

@cyberman I think they're your dealer? You should be in good hands. They are the second Evans Halshaw I have interacted with and both have been exemplary

I got mine back about an hour ago. Dealer told me the same thing, about not being able to order a spare windscreen if you don’t have a pano roof. It can only be ordered in the event it cracks during the reseal. Still , Gates Stevenage we’re great, I got a MachE loaner while my car was with them. The valet Job on my car was excellent , I also got a range boost but that might be a result of the system being reset during the software update.

did they do the Sync update for you as well? They didn’t for me as they said it wasn’t covered by the warranty work.

i have seen some replies to this in other threads, but checking again.

is it okay to leave the MME unplugged for a couple of weeks when i am away? in UK we don't have the big garages US folks have (Which is why i'm posting here) and the car will be on the driveway.

Think I saw someone had some info on leaving the car for an extended time here. Showed leaving it with a good charge (75% I think) would
Mean it can stay ok for ages. Below 15% the 12v battery might drain without top up from large battery.

I hope so as the airport carpark I leave the car in hasn't got a charger

This what I wrote few weeks back. Should be Ok

For those who are a bit concerned (which I was ) about leaving your car sitting around for a while ie. Gatwick airport.
I've returned after a break.
The car was left at Gatwick with 50% showing and 138 miles. It sat there for 22 days and I'm pleased to say that I needn't have worried. When turned on it actually had risen to 51%, but the mileage had dropped to 131.
Not sure if there was ever a reason to be concerned about leaving it for a long period. Most probably just this new experience of owning an EV.
