Aye mate, got the update this morning. It didn’t say anything hat it has actually updated and the wife who is currently driving it says she can’t see anything different.

What actually is the latest update?
My last one on 8 september was 22-PU0706-SCH-POPA

I wouldn't put ANY faith in this wiki list. My sync at the moment is 22177/473 which isn't even listed on the list and according to the list 22087/415 was/should've been issued Jan 22. I got it July 22. Leads me to believe that this list is for US only especially as some relate to blue cruise, which we don't get.
I only included the list as it's all we have. I suppose this is the fractured nature of the updates we get. At least with "The car manufacturer whose name shall not be uttered" ;) the updates are in a logical numbered sequence world wide with comprehensive update notes.

MME RR ER RWD ?
Country flag
Hi all,

I thought someone had posted recently about auto-dipping headlights - but can't find it, so here I go!

I am on all the latest (UK) OTAs for a few weeks, and have noticed that the auto-dipping headlights seem to be quite random. The other night I went out and for the first couple of miles they were fine as usual but then simply stopped working.

The switch and driver's dash showed the Auto-lights symbol, but stayed on low beam even when pitch-black open roads. I used the manual headlights switch instead, and then a few minutes later, they started working again.

The next day, I did reset both the Sync switch and the physical switch, but the next time I was out at night, a very similar experience ?

This may be coincidence, but this has only happenned since the OTAs ........

Would be interested in any thoughts or similar experiences!

Many thanks
David

I think there's an option in settings for them and I had to turn if off and back on in there to fix it!

Your local Ford dealer parts department? I tried looking via Google and just got results for spare parts on U.S. sites.

So I’ve been away for a while and haven’t been keeping an eye on available updates or OTA’s, but I had an APIM update become available on FDRS for my 2022 RWD today.

A bit of a chunky 15Gb update that took a good while to download and install, but i’ve gone from my factory build of SYNC 21297 Rev 253 to SYNC 22228 Rev 539.

Here’s what I’ve noticed that’s different so far….

- Sync system is much more responsive and feels snappy..

- Apps screen is now split into two tabs - “Apps” and “Entertainment”. Apps has all the stuff we had before, and Entertainment is where a new selection of games are stored.

- On the Ford nav system the elevation is now finally displayed in feet instead of yards! That’s bugged me for some time - so pleased to see that fixed.

- Offline map updates and Nav version change from 1.57.55 to 1.66.51

I am stuck on 1.6 / 1.7 as you are, I have the car booked in on the 10th October to get the APIM updated (TSB 22-2166), hopefully it will be sorted after this!

this is a EV for Dummies question.

do we still have to road tax our Mach Es? i believe EVs are exempt from road tax but the gov.uk site says we still have to tax them even if we don't have to pay.

You are correct. We still have to "tax" our cars every year as we would a ICE vehicle, it just doesn't cost us (at the moment). So when you get your car tax reminder through the post DON'T BIN IT.

So booked in for 2nd service (36000 miles) Dealer said it doesn't need it as its only every 2 years. But the app says 18, 36k.... etc. If I wait until Feb 2023 then i'll be over 50K miles and i'm sure there must be some 'bits' (filters, etc.) need changing by then. Anyone had their second service or knows about intervals?

On the other hand, they emailed back to say they'll do all the updates and recalls, they'll valet and I can have the corporate Mach e for the duration, so things may be looking up!
