So how long has it been since the last UK software update?
The last listed on car’s screen is Sept 2022, dealer checked a couple of weeks ago during servicing and assured me it was all up to day.

So, people, at almost 2 yrs and 58,158 miles I just collated my ā€œfuelā€ cost & usage stats.

58,158 = total miles covered
Ā£4,920.44 = total cost of electricity
19,459kWH = Total power bought
2.9988 = Overall average miles/kWh
8.4p/mile = Overall cost/mile

EOE

So, 75% of power used charging at home cost just 45% of total charge cost which means if all charging could be done at home where most EV owners probably would, and/or partly free at employer’s/other charge venues would bring cost/mile down significantly.

Further, converting charge cost to fuel bought at (very conservative for UK) average ICE fuel at £1.50/gal means total cost saving on fuel alone is £3,318.61 which represents 40% saving on fuel.

AND

CĀ£25,000 = Business mileage charged
Ā£100,000 =. Perceptive value of driving MME

Net result = Unconditional love for the ā€˜Stang, never to return to ICE

The last one I received was 12/12/22. 22-PU0727-VI-FXB. Have NO idea what it was for and didn't notice any changes within the car

If you remove the panel cover in the passenger footwell the code is visible inside somewhere I recall. I had to do this myself a few months back. I got the info from YouTube
Or you can read about it here.

Check your update schedule to make sure it's about 15 minutes into your daily commute time (going to work or coming home) to make sure your 12V battery is above 80% SOC when the check happens, and while you're driving in an area with at least three bars of cell coverage, and you'll likely get PowerUp 3.5.2.1 (GWM) soon.

The last time Ford UK even attempted to send out an OTA software update was somewhere between ages and infinity months ago. ?

In all seriousness though I’m not sure what the hell has happened here in the UK that has caused the OTA rollout to stop dead for such a long time.

Anytime someone actually gets a response from Ford Customer Services it’s always the stock response of ā€œSoonā„¢ā€

Hopefully I will be able to speak to someone in person and find out next month.

Hey all, I'm a new (to me) Mach E owner this week. What is the latest software version available in the UK and is there a history available of previous OTAs?

Mine is currently 22192_PRODUCT, Revision: 498, but I can't find much information on it and have no idea if that means it's up to date or not!

Thanks

Hi and welcome.

If you scroll back 3 or 4 posts there is a discussion about this subject or, even better, if you do a search there will be plenty of info.

I am currently visiting Germany, and have not seen 1 single Mach-E. I have seen a handful of ICE Mustangs. I have been geeking out on all the cool cars not offered up in Canada. I think the VW iD3 is pretty awesome for a small sporty commuter. Obviously the Autobahn is the highway to which all others should be measured.

I did a tour of the Porsche Museum. I was surprised to learn that Ferdinand Porsche designed an electric vehicle in 1898, with an "Octagon" electric motor. The Egger Lohner C2 Phaeton. And then in 1900, the Lohner-Porsche with electric wheel hub motor. It's cool how things have evolved over 100 years.

Do I believe anything the motor trade tell me? Not without evidencing it.

But I don’t get too excited about the update status, so long as ā€˜Stangy goes, stops and continues to earn its keep I’m happy ?

I'm lucky to find 3 bars of cell coverage in my normal driving anywhere. At my home address it barely registers 1 bar. This is the UK though. ?? The car has got full strength on my wi-fi. :)

Well unless the methodology is completely different between CONUS and the UK...updates do not come over Wi-Fi here due to the potential for man-in-the-middle attacks, only the car's TCU is used, which talks directly to the mothership.
