Ummm, the US can’t even clean the entire world. There are countries that pollute at such disastrous levels and will likely never change their policies or regulations. It’s not in their best interest.California can’t clean the entire world.
Honestly for me, convenience is more important. Call me selfish if you want, but it’s up to me to worry about my time and resources. I dont have the energy or capacity to believe that I can help change the world just because of the car I drive. I suspect that while some won’t admit it publicly, it’s the same for the bulk of would-be EV customers. If Ford and other companies don’t work to figure this aspect out, there won’t be a wide adoption of EV ownership. So for now, when I take a long road trip, I’ll either drive our Jeep, or rent a car.A little inconvenience goes a long way to full adoption and a better world. Which is more important?
Im buying this car because it’s new, full of cool tech and has some great safety features. Having low emissions isn’t really on my list of priorities. I do respect the opinion of others that rank that high on their list though.
