In addition to the less convenient opening, the problem of using the frunk for shopping trips is that you're usually parked nose in, so access could be compromised. I'm not sure how much I would actually be using it.

Interesting. Here's the inside lever I was referring to. In the video I saw, it appeared to be a spring-loaded manual release. But maybe it is electronic. Although I would think it would then just be a button rather than a spring lever.

The more I think about it, it probably does have some electronics involved, if nothing else to ensure it can't be released while moving.

I prefer parking nose out—so I can leave without backing up. Typically easily accomplished by pulling through.

Or in the Mach E by using the auto park.

I wish it would be that quick. Pull into a parking garage and hit the button. The car takes over speeding around and zips into a space
That would be how a Mustang should park itself. No other method is acceptable from the automated system.

How fun would that be: grab some friends, go to the mall, "watch this" hit a button and the car punches it in the lot "AAAAAAAAHHHHH!" LMAO!

And to think that was a station wagon.

Mach E on order

Just noticed, I don't know when it happened but to order a Mache now is 1,000 dollars down not 500.
That might depend on the dealer. When I placed my order back in July, I noticed that two different dealers near here required different amounts. I picked the one that was a bit further away because the closer one was asking $1,000 instead of five hundred.

I'm not even saying, dealer. Everyone is right dealer might be different. Go on the ford website and build a Mache and it now asks for 1,000 dollars. Gt is still 500. So I sent an email to one of my colleges in dearborn and asked him.

To the point, he said there is only room for another 12,000 orders for 2021 not counting GT. If you want it better get it. Once the Mache is on the road and people test drive = sold out.

Through Ford.com, before it lets you order a Mach-E, you are forced to choose a dealer.

Crossroads Ford in Frankfort: $1,000 deposit, $0 difference from MSRP.

Jack Kain Ford in Versailles: $500 deposit, $1000 difference from MSRP.

They each set their own pricing.
