Trutolife27, I will miss your insightful posts and want to thank you for the great info you’ve shared in the 10 months I’ve been on the forum. You’ve been a trusted source of info and a frequent calm voice when we didn’t know what was coming next. Best wishes always!!!
Certainly agree with you even though I’ve only been here since October.

It is highly unfortunate that some recent contributors (over the past two months) have brought the forum to this point. I made the point yesterday or the day before that the "insider" information was a privilege and shouldn't be taken for granted. Yet some did and now have ruined it for the rest of us.
This.

There are a handful of Ford "insiders" on this forum and a couple of others with access to a different group of insiders. They're not getting paid by Ford to watch over this forum or to spoon-feed us information about the MME. They're just like the rest of us, they're buying a Mach-e from a dealer and trying to lend us a hand in understanding the car and pointing us towards information we might otherwise miss. And they're all doing it for free.

Each of the Ford employees here has different jobs, whether that's @trutolife27, @RonTCat, @hybrid2bev, or any of the others I'm too lazy to look up atm. They're using that insight to help all of us (and themselves) better understand the MME and how Ford Motor Company is dealing (rather successfully IMO) with the sh**fest of a year 2020 has become. Nothing they say here is proprietary, nor will they reveal the "secret handshake" that will get us our MME's before the end of the year (darn!), it's all nice to know information that has set this forum apart from others and from the "Brand T" forums.

When someone with a background in Ford's leasing/finance division tries to explain how things work and are shaping up to work for the MME, it's generally a good idea not to argue with that information. You can disagree that the product isn't appropriate for you, or that it might not be competitive, but arguing the fact of the financing or leasing existence is beyond absurd. It's also discouraging to that employee.

When someone involved in the ins and outs of production at Ford tries to explain how things work and why they work that way at Ford, arguing the point is absurd. And when they're trying to assist you in gleaning information about a competitor's product so that you can make an intelligent decision, where does "bite their head off" appear in the script?

And we haven't even mentioned the non-Ford employees like @ChasingCoral who have done so much to help us understand where we're at in the process.

Give it some time and let's see how Ford plans out the shipping of the mass of cars from the Cuautitlán Assembly plant so they can finish the OKTB requirements.

A bit more decorum and a bit less vitriol would be appropriate. And yes, I'm guilty too. That's why I get to say it.

What I don't understand is that we ALL have been waiting patiently for this car and have been conversing with each other for the past year quite contently. Now that we are getting very near 'd' day some people have decided to turn on others, disputing what they say and arguing on here in public. It is not doing anyone any good. I was hoping to get some good reviews from some on here when they took delivery of their cars but those who I think I would trust are likely to not continue on here. Reading some of the posts, I must admit I don't think I would either. It's a great shame. If I am lucky, I am 96 days away from getting mine. The burden of the wait has been eased by partaking on this forum. I just feel sad that it has got to this point.
Speaking overall... probably best just to take a little break sometimes when it gets tense. (Something I need to remember as well.) There will still be plenty of people posting, and I guarantee you there will be tons of reviews posted.

And don't be afraid to use the IGNORE button when a poster or two make it not fun anymore. ;) Don't let a few ruin it. This is a great forum overall.

Please don't let someone, JTK44, take you down a rabbit hole of getting the last word in. The majority of us appreciate your insights and even challenge them politely. I wouldn't quit sharing unless FMC directed you to, otherwise, please continue and know the silent majority are keen enough to garner bits of intel you give and appreciate it. Even if we don't acknowledge its value in a post like this one, trust me, your input is valued.
Cheers aye!

If you can read this and have not hit that button on me yet; I completely agree. Hope after a break the good times will out weigh a couple of jack asses.

now that is soooo much the truth. Thank you for posting this. This should ALWAYS be a place of DISCUSSION and not one of antagonism. The act/need of trying to prove another person wrong is childish at best. You can disagree and say so without attacking a specific poster.

of course if everyone agreed this forum would be boring. However there is a MAJOR difference between stating a different point of view and actually attacking the integrity of that poster. Thank you for this post. I appreciate it. I hope everyone else does as well.

little over dramatic but thanks for the info you have passed on.
Well I would say overdramatic is what started this entire Forum. I mean A Mustang SUV, but wait, an all Electric Mustang SUV. The most Dramatic Thing this 100+ year old Corporation has done, right up there with an all Aluminum F series! Ford started the drama so a spot of it here is definitely appropriate!

I was brought up with the idea that if you have nothing nice to say then do NOT say anything at all. This person has given ALL of us info that MOST of us would not have otherwise. Maybe try saying something nice rather then being essentially bullying.

It was only a matter of time until this forum started to resemble social media. Too bad.
Most people here respect each other and can have adult discussions without acting like the children from Willy Wonka. But a few can ruin it for the rest. I guess human nature can’t be changed and often tries to find a lowest level.
I have really enjoyed discussing in a fun way getting this car with most of you. It has been a really good distraction in a year without vacations, travel, and worry about what is happening to our world and remembering how many have gotten sick and how many have died.
I hope I can try to ignore those who have made this not as much fun anymore. Going to try and remember to “never wrestle with a pig, you just get muddy and the pig enjoys it”.
