yeah, no tile nor does it do any PaaK actions.Wow I got it, but there's no tile available?? Smh
My smart things implementation is better than I this
I just downloaded the app on my Galaxy Watch 6 through the Google play store on my Samsung Galaxy S24. The ability to control the car is cool but minimum, hopefully, more will be added such as opening the trunk or frunk. In order to use the Ford Pass app on the watch, a security lock must be set, so quick gestures cannot be used. This is an inconvenience if you quickly and frequently refer to the watch throughout the day or if you use the watch to monitor your heart rate during exercise, as I do often. I most likely will disable the lock during these times. I attached pictures of the Ford Pass app in Google play store, app features on the watch, as well as a screenshot of my apps in the Galaxy wearable app on my phone.I now have 5.7.0 through the play store and I see no way to install a wear OS app on my gear watch 7. People do have this right? Is it a car update thing?
the wear OS app doesn't participate in PaaK at all. fordpass is pretty stable on the pixel watch 3 now but is functionally just a remote display/input for the phone app - you can see battery/charging information, do remote lock/unlock, turn climate on/off, honk horn/flash lights. pretty basic.Reviving this thread. Long time pixel owner, never had a smartwatch, thinking about a Pixel watch 3. Can someone confirm paak works well enough to not carry a phone, or your keys? would love to go watch only.
gotcha, so no PaaK with the watch at this point. That means I am out.the watchOS app doesn't participate in PaaK at all. fordpass is pretty stable on the pixel watch 3 now but is functionally just a remote display/input for the phone app - you can see battery/charging information, do remote lock/unlock, turn climate on/off, honk horn/flash lights. pretty basic.
agree it would be but the CPU, radio, and attendant power requirements aren't amenable to a watch sized battery currently. moore's law is still somewhat in effect so we'll get there but not for a couple more years.PaaK with a watch would be awesome! WaaK as it were.
Watch 4 here. I only have to unlock it once, like the poster above says. I only have to unlock it again after I remove it.My Galaxy Watch 5 Pro runs Wear OS and I was able to run Ford Pass on it. However, it required I set a display lock PIN on the watch. This mean no more flicking my wrist to wake the display. Entering a PIN anytime I wanted to interact with my watch was a PITA. I appreciate Ford not wanting to keep someone from accessing my car if they found my watch but it was just too damn inconvenient.
Hmm, maybe I'll give it another try. The other issue was the season: Had to pull back my winter coast sleeve to get to the watch. Won't be an issue during the summer.Watch 4 here. I only have to unlock it once, like the poster above says. I only have to unlock it again after I remove it.
You go to the apps screen and click on FordPass.I hate to pull up an old thread again, but I cannot figure out how to get FordPass to work on my Pixel watch 2. I have the app installed on the phone and the watch, but I don't know how to actually get to FordPass on the watch. I'm sure I'm just missing something really easy and dumb. Does anyone have any ideas?
