Only two detractors on otherwise great EV
  1. Underdamped suspension. You truly notice this going over speed bumps where the car rebounds and bounces twice after. This does not happen with my BMW i4 nor Ioniq 5 Limited. Those suspensions are vastly more refined. I’d say the ID.4 also has a very refined suspension too.
  2. Road noise. The Mach-E is not an quiet EV over non smooth surfaces. dB levels can reach mid/high 80s which is like driving a noisy gas SUV. Again, I truly notice the difference driving the BMW i4 and Ioniq 5 Limited over poor roads and construction area on highways. They are vastly quieter. My guess is wheel wells or some area isn’t sealed off on the Mach-E.

I leave it unlocked in the garage all the time. You just have to disable walk away locking in the settings. Instead I hit the lock button on the driver's door when I get out or use the key fob lock button.
Yeah, but the walkaway lock is a nice feature. Would be a lot better if Ford allowed "safe zones" where the walkaway lock does not engage. The groundwork is there because you can already set a home charging location.

- Can't seem to disable the internal alarm sensor permanently, no matter how many times I try to save it in my profile
Yeah... @Ford Motor Company doesn't allow this. It's either a bug or a really really really really really stupid and nonintuitive feature. They give us a setting to toggle it off, and it toggles back on every restart.

Fear of the HVBJB failing at any time. Other than that I am a happy owner. 2022 Premium 4X with just 3600 miles on it. What I like most: how it looks and the effortless acceleration.

1: Bumpy roller coaster ride, hopefully shocks can fix this
2: car play and profile issues have mostly gone away.
3. My Sirius preset stations come and go as they like. Not the worst thing in life.

but really the above are just annoyances

the winner in my opinion is the inferior HVBJB and the way Ford handled it. Instead of replacing it they did a software fix which is no fix . Shame on them for leaving people with a ticking time bomb.

They sure know how to treat their customers.

Hate is too strong, but the software is amateurish.
  • Bugs persist for years
  • UI has no consistent theme - looks like a ransom note.
  • OTA is not available on demand
  • Please, no more games... fix the profile bug.

I'd really like magna ride, but didn't want to wait for the GTPE - shame on me.

Mechanically my car has been completely trouble free

Totally, it's like sword of Damocles every day. Shameful the way Ford handled it, knowing they could fail at any time and not doing anything about it until after the fact. They're basically saying they don't care at all about your time or the inconvenience it will cost if/when it fails when you're on a road trip or far from home with a car full of family, etc. My recommendation would be to pick a time where it's convenient for you to not have the car for a while, prepare yourself accordingly, then go on a spree of DC fast charging followed by as many 0-60 runs as you can. Repeat until the HVJB fails (shouldn't take too long) and you get the stop safely now message, and drive it straight to your preferred dealer for a fresh new HVJB 😃
