I don’t hate my Mach-E, just a few quibbles. Haven’t heard anyone else complaining about this, but I thought I’d offer a solution nonetheless. I noticed that left steering wheel speed cruise control faster/slower joystick, and the volume up/down joystick are at a weird angle, and are smooth to boot.

For those that are similarly bugged:

I took a narrow strip of gaffer’s tape (NOT duct tape!) a placed it vertically over each joystick, then molded it to fit with no seams.I think it really improves grip, and looks pretty decent.
I used to have to reposition my hands to comfortably move the joystick, but now my finger grips the top of it, as it should

Just one quibble, outside navigation literally avoiding the highway next to my house as if it's made of lava, otherwise I love the car.

No "recirculate" button on the home screen. I live around enough exhaust belching ICE monsters that I often, in my old car, had to dive at the recirc button to keep the outside air from getting in. In my Mach-E, "recirculate" is hidden under a user interface drawer, which sometimes lags, and then it's a tiny button in a sea of empty space... and by the time I find it (while continuing to drive, which is what I'm focusing on), my cabin is full of carbon monoxide anyway. I wish this was a button next to the fan button at the bottom line of the screen.

The Select/Premium to GT replacement path.
Even with the ‘damn it I can’t stand’ one wants to get the GT anyway. Because. Just. Because.
Yep. My wife got the 2021 GTPE and damn it is the most fantastic ev muscle ever. I am heading to tesla showroom for test drive model y AWD long range at 330 miles. Price drops are here at $55k WELL loaded. Do not need self driving being retired and sticking to our area mostly. Range and on road charging with a tesla is best in everything I read. We'll see soon.

330 mi of range in the MY AWD is balderdash. We never got more than 270 in ours. And $55k is a bit more than we paid for ours (fairly well loaded) but we didn't have the fed tax credit available then. I traded ours in for an i4 40eDrive (w/300mi real range in ideal conditions) as I tired of dealing with their "phantom breaking" issue. Google it.

Actually another little quibble.

With lane assist on the driver display shows a little black Mach-E in the center of the display.

Why is this not the color of my car? Should totally be configurable.

Now the HVJB has been replaced, the only issue I have is the 5 second power limitation. @Ford Motor Company Just give us GTPE owners 7.5 seconds full power via OTA and we will shut up. Allow the car to at least be somewhat competitive with a Tesla Model Y performance on a quarter mile, and we will shut up.

I hate the climate controls. In 3k miles, 10% of my range has gone to climate, so I'm always fine tuning it. Can't just leave it on low. I love the climate controls (mostly) because I can control everything ~ but ~

Here are my suggestions:
* Show the watts going to climate (including seats which I think currently goes to accessories). On the main page. In watts Or have a panel like the "m/kw" that shows the current climate watts.
* Have presets. I have about 4 things I usually do with climate (startup while cold, high range freeway, everyday driving, etc). Switching between "modes" today takes a LOT of clicks while driving - so give me presets.
* Make recirc easier to use. When it's cold, I mostly want recirc to warm up quickly - I don't want to spend the range to heat outside air. "Auto Recirc" would monitor internal humidity and do just enough recirc but otherwise do very little. Or something.
* Don't heat the passenger seat when there's no one there. At least, by default. I've used the seat heater as a "keep pizza warm while driving home" feature, but 99% of the time I have to turn on and off the seat heater when a passenger gets in and out every time. C'mon!
* Have a "neutral heat" setting. Right now you set a temperature - sure that's normal in cars - but what I usually want is give me some air but don't touch the range. I can do that - AC off, heat off, fan to low - but it would be so much nicer to have a heat setting which is "neutral".
* Have something like "heat band". I don't need the temp to be 72 and don't want to run the heater and ac to push it back and forth, but I'd like the heat to not be 40 degrees. But if you set the heat to, say, 60 so it warms up a bit, then if I get in the car in the afternoon, the AC comes on! I'd basically like "heat to 65 and cool to 75 but I'm cool with any cabin temp between 65 and 75".

Cars don't have any of this today.... but if you were spending 10% of your gas price on heat, you'd care! And that's 10% when I'm fiddling with the knobs a lot and turning off heat frequently.

If I had other gripes, I'd like volts / amps offered and accepted while fast charging, I'd like better prediction of charge times, I'd like the ability to set charge % without setting a destination (that one really gets me).

Oooh, oooh, I finally have something to report as a "hate." My wife says she hates the hard plastic edge on the center console that left a bruise on her left leg while sitting in the passenger seat during a long drive. Suck on that one, Ford!

If only the GTPE gets it, some of us won't shut up...
I'd settle for a flat 7 seconds.

Looks like your dust-buster is malfunctioning, too!! I got the same problem, now that it 's warm enough to roll the windows down.

We've had our GT for six months now. Only real gripe is with the Charge door. I am getting tired of it requiring 4 or 5 tries in order to close each morning. We need a better design, perhaps like the one on my daughter's 2017 Focus or my '17 Ecoboost.
