What does this Parking button do?

I can’t find anything in the user manual. It doesn’t seem to assist with parallel parking.

It is the park assist button. It works on my car. However I imagine all MME's have that button whether it works or not. Just like our FOBs have that little metal shiv that serves absolutely no purpose to Mach-E owners whatsoever.

For 2021s it starts the Park Assist function. For 2022s it does nothing (since they are supposed to have Park Assist but lack the hardware). For 2023s and newer it *should* bring up the Parking app on the center screen. ??

Push it, and watch your nav screen.....it's literally a "find parking" assist button. Repurposed from when it was an actual "park assist" button, and would auto-park the car. I think that was dropped for the '22 model? And yeah, no mention in the owners manual, I think Ford is too embarrassed about it.... ?

Got it. Yea I see the parking nav pop up. Pretty redundant when using either Apple or Google maps.

I repurposed mine to open/close the liftgate. A few others have also done this.

Dropped part way through 2022. If you ordered before the middle of March 2022, it was still available. Basically dropped for Job 2s.

Yes and no. YES because there is an emergency release button in the Frunk (the ONLY hard button to open the Frunk) and you can tie that into the Park assist button to open the Frunk. NO because that emergency release button will open the Frunk at any time. As in even while the car is in gear driving down the road and obviously that is very unsafe.

Best option for frunk opening is to buy and program a Lightning fob from ebay. Cost me less than 100 bucks and 5 minutes of programming time. Completely asinine that Ford didn't include this from the factory since the car literally has the capability baked in.
