I've put more than 44,000 miles on my 2022 Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition since new. And now I have a 2025 Mustang GT Premium.

Attached are a couple of photos of the two GTs. They are similarly equipped, with a slight edge to the Mach-E GT, which has magneride suspension, BlueCruise, and a B&O sound system. My GT Premium has the 400A equipment package without adaptive cruise control.

The 2022 Mach-E GTPE is painted in Iced Blue Silver Metallic (discontinued after 2022), and the 2025 GT is coated in Vapor Blue Metallic.

Guess which GT is faster--wins every race--and far more efficient as well? The license plate should be a clue! Interestingly, they have almost identical horsepower (480 v. 486 hp), but the Mach-E GTPE has far more torque, as you might expect from two big electric motors (634 v. 418 lb-ft).

I love the sound of my 2025 GT, especially with the Active Valve Exhaust, but there's no way it beats the Mach-E GTPE for either performance or efficiency. Driving the Mach-E GTPE feels like the future; by contrast, the 2025 GT feels like I'm driving a dinosaur--one of the last of its kind... YMMV!

I hadn’t seen a 2025 ICE mustang. That back end looks like it belongs to an electric car. Give me that coupe with the electric motors and youve got something there.

Nice pair!

I feel the same, except my GT is definitely faster than my GTPE, but it took around 800 hp with a supercharger to get that way.

My trio gets filled out with a 69 Mach 1. Definitely a dinosaur but I enjoy driving all three for very different reasons.

My favorite of your three is the '69 Mach 1. That was my second car in high school and my favorite for years. I still have a soft spot for that body style. 😊

I'm done with ICEVs but the Mustang (and new Camero) will never not be beautiful looking cars to me. A Shelby GT 500 will always make me sigh.

Nice pair Michael. I really like that Vapor Blue on your GT.

As with you, I love the sound of that V-8. I have my active exhaust set so anytime I start the car, it is in quiet mode, then I change it to one of the other three settings once I leave the neighborhood. 😊

However, I'm with Mach1E on the performance end of things and my GT500 is also faster than my GTP.

I appreciate that but I already had @markboris in mind. That GT500 easily outclasses my 2011. 👍

I’ve also seen quite a few nice classics around these parts.

When I try to explain my stable to people, my disclaimer is always “I promise I don’t have some weird Mustang obsession.”

The 69 was given to us by my father in law 20 years ago and we got it running and put it back together. The 2011 is a recent random purchase because my brother had a friend selling it cheap and who wouldn’t be tempted by an 800 hp manual? 😉

My wife prefers a manual transmission, but they are getting harder to find.

I had a chance to get a '70 Mach 1, but the fellow that had it 'improved' it to the point it would no longer run. 😞
