Those seats…Oh come on… different taste? No taste you mean.. Those seats are F bliep ugly. There are so many nice sports seats out there but these look like your dentist chair swallowed a coat hanger…

love everything else beter than the premium versions. Like the GT in the arm rest.
Is the steering wheel thicker or sportier in anyway? And the rear spoiler?
Would the air diffusers on the back fit a regular body?
That would be a bunch of nice aftermarket updates..

I think mostly it is because the GTs reservation holders have been waiting so long and the time crunch to get out the 2021 models to customers is a priority. I'd love to see a bunch of reviews, but I bet people with orders are more anxious to get their GTs. I bet there will be lots of review cars in the new model year.

The only reason why I wouldn't think this is the issue is because reviewers do reviews on pre production cars all the time, and we've seen multiple GTs out on the roads with ford employees to say they should have enough pre production vehicles to give to reviewers before now.

Thanks for posting these comparative photos. So on the exterior, it appears the only difference between the Standard GT and PE are the wheels. I like the PE wheels, but I actually prefer the look of the standard GT seats. I don't think I am going to regret deciding against the PE, except I would like to have that magnaride...

Mike Levine confirmed via Twitter. The review embargo is likely more for the journalists to have a fair opportunity to get time with the vehicles so one doesn't get ahead of the others. Doesn't matter if customers have the cars, they need the cars in the hands of the journalists and if there aren't enough, they need time to get the few cars they have rotated around to all of them.

I'm hoping this week. Maybe as soon as Tuesday. The original embargo back in October/November was due to COVID protocols that limited participation and staggered attendance so there was a long gap that journalists & influencers had to sit on their content.

Congrats OP for not only getting yours, but getting it 2 weeks early! My GT non PE gets built the week of 9-6. Like the GT seat much more visually, but bet you those dentists chairs are much better going around the track. They look like they could hold any body type in place.

Don't forget the Brembo painted on the brake calipers! It added 34 lbs torque.

1) No, doesn't seem the key fob has a separate button to open the frunk. Although, there may be a press this twice, third time hold button depress sequence that could do that - I'll look at the manual this evening.

2) Yes, the SYNC4A/center console has a function for opening the frunk. It takes a couple clicks to get to, and I would definitely find it easier to simply reach to pull the lever twice under the left dash.

You know what would have been sweet… if they built soft-close frunk functionality!

I don’t know why none of the EV manufacturers have done this yet. It seems like such a missed opportunity. When carrying small items, the frunk seems like a more appropriate, convenient storage location. There’s less chance of contents sliding around, there’s better smell isolation (takeout food), and seems just a tad closer to the driver door.

Just my 2 cents.

Don't know why everyone is poo-pooing the GTPE seats. From the pictures it seems like they have decent side bolstering. Anybody have measurements on how narrow they are (maybe measured from where the backrest meets the bolsters)?

I'm coming from an Evo X that had some of the most amazing Recaros I've ever sat in. I'm slender, so appreciated how the seats felt almost like a cocoon for me.

With power supplied to the frunk, this is a great idea for an aftermarket solution. The issue will be how to integrate this into the PAAK software without making it less than as reliable and consistent that it is now.
